I am sad to say... I have had enough
I have been a huge fan of your games for a long time. I have spent hundreds of hours on mmh6 and 7...
not to mention all the hours growing up playing the MM series ...

The bugs are so bad... i dont understand why you are putting out games that are this messed up!!!
I love games like this... and you have officially... ruined it for me.
I will no longer be buying anymore of your games.
When you released this game... the main story had some nasty bugs... I dealth with it... I had forum support... we all found ways around your mistakes... which is not right!

Trying to play Lost Tales... was like being a dang beta tester.
I had game breaking bugs happen in each map,

Sea Serpent battle would not finish...
isle of mayhem.... final portal would not open
isle of death... the quests would not complete...

I could not finish any of those maps with out cheating...

Shame on you.

You have lost a life long customer.

Please, for future customers, release only complete games.

Well, you can just thank Limbic Entertaimemt for adult approach to this valuable game franchise - but don't cross the series yet, if limbic will be hopefully banned for touching this game ever again we might have a decent one next time. If it will ever be done after this failture of course.
I think Limbic is doing a decent job giving the conditions, because UBI didn`t provide enough resources to this game.
There is a big patch announced in June so there is still hope :)

I wouldn't blame the devs here. On the contrary, they must be pretty damn talented to still be able to produce a half-way decent game under the conditions that they had. Ubisoft is entirely to blame here, just like in the Heroes VI situation. God I detest that company. Shame that HoMM and Assassin's Creed, two of my favorite franchises, are their IPs.

Don't take the contract if you know you can't do it for that price. Limbic is a company. It's also their responsibility.

That's a load of BS. Ubi is a fantastic company. They've come up through the ranks, just like any other dev house, and have released some of the most iconic games of the previous 2 generations as well as still pushing the envelope in development of new IPs. Ubisoft did NOT drop the ball on M&M VII as so many people want to say. FACT is, Limbic had a DUTY to create a contract that stated EXACTLy what was needed in order to secure and make a fantastic game. Ubi placed their trust in their written word and gave them the room to do so. Make no mistake about it. M&M games may just be a niche game but it's a HUGE niche game that sells tons of copies the world over.

Ubi is just like any other dev/publisher the world over. They are going to make mistakes every now and then. Bioware has, EA certainly has, CDPR even has. Sometimes $hit happens, man. All this finger pointing does absolutely NOTHING to fix a game in a beloved franchise that, certainly, a lot of us have enjoyed over the years. People cry about Ubi DRM and their digital presence but you all act like Steam should be the ONLY digital platform in the universe. That's just bad for the consumers and for choice all around. Besides, if I owned my own dev/publishing house you could bet your bottom dollar I'd have my own digital delivery platform as well. ESPECIALLY if I was as big as Ubi/EA or Steam. That's smart business desicion making right there.

Now, Limbic. They tried their approach and have seemingly fallen flat on it. Their decisions were not sound decisions and their approach to a beloved strategy hybrid has killed a lot of love people have for it. They have had every opportunity to FIX the game THEY broke. Supposedly there's a "big fix" coming in June. Why June? Why didn't it happen 6 months ago at release or, better yet, why weren't these "fixes" implemented in-game prior to release? Again, finger pointing. Regardless of how we feel, can you, just for a moment, imagine how an entire group of people, super excited to be working on an amazing IP, must feel after seriously BOMBING the $hit out of it? I can read through the patch notes and SEE they're trying. Trying hard. Whether or not the game can be truly saved will be seen, but they're trying and trying hard.

One last note. If Egosoft fixed X:Rebirth (and fix it they did, even though it took a year) then there's NO reason to think that Limbic can't pull something out of their a$$ and fix this broken shell of a game. It can happen. I'm hopeful.

I don't even want to start about your bullcrap about ubisoft and founding - you don't need a milion dollars to have your own idea, do something creative, something estetic, take Don't Starve for example - this small indie project was always a 100% from it's devs, who didn't have an amazing budget, world's best desgin studio, directors and scrip riders... they had an idea, the had passion, no excuses, no lies, no pretentions, no copying,- hard honest work, and now they're on top. If you don't have talent and passion - no matter if you would have all the money of this world - you will still make a ♥♥♥♥ not a game, and people wil see you just as feminists, as nothing more than a professional victim, take responsibility for your own actions and stop blaming everything around you for your own actions and decisions - this is something amazing for me, becouse I havent seen a community that blinded, that naive, that silly for a loooong time.

Pointless to argue about game decisions or creativity, I like most of the decisions which have been done for H7. But what is definitely the biggest Ubi's fault is budget and time.
Limbic did NOT get money to hire more people. And Limbic did NOT get time to finish the game properly with the amount of people they had. This is how good publishing company does NOT behave. Also remember who caused Black Hole's got bankrupted...it was Ubi, again.
So I praise Limbic will get time and money to fix the game now at least as they could not before.

Sorry to sound so negative, but all I see here is a frantic effort to milk the few HOMM fans left for even more money before nailing shut the coffin. I mean, it's how long since release, roughly a year? And the game is still unplayable, after eight "patches", which carefully avoided to tread anywhere near the huge list of reported bugs? Sure, the next patch is finally going to provide the miracle cure, it's attached to a paid expansion after all. Pull the other leg too, it will magically resync your multiplayer games.

Limbic's issue isn't time or money, it's an utter lack of skills required for big projects like HOMM. I expect the company to go belly-up shortly after releasing the expansion.

Don't think so. Read this article if you like. They communicate well and do as much as they can.

im glad my game wasnt as buggy...guess i got a descent copy...lol...well you own it, years down the road when your hardware is better, you may enjoy this fantastic game...i really grew up on all of them. i bought them when they released. i have to say, homm7 is my favorite sp story campaign out of all of them and the levels were pretty well thought out...great game for sure....now im waiting for the expansion to throw my wallet at it...lol

btw...im always mis-quoted and called names but homm7 had bugs yes...contacted limbic, fixed on the next patch and wah la problem solved...easy peezee...at least this development team replies and tries to fix them...some do not....food for thought....im glad limbic developed this game...had a blast with it.

Not really, new patches brought new bugs, remember the skills disappearing, was it in 1.6.
Jerm May 18, 2016 @ 8:30pm
I am waiting for the next patch patiently (getting less patient lately).

There are some bugs that are still a game breaker for me, in particular where Quicksave/Restart Battle will break the magic calculation for spell strength.

The next patch is supposed to be the "big" one to finally get it to a proper state of things, however, it feels like Day 1 DLC to me. Yes, I get the patch, and I can start playing seriously, but no, I have to buy the new factions and stuff. Day 1 DLC to me.
Heart May 19, 2016 @ 12:59am
Just to chime in here that regardless of buying the Addon or not EVERYONE gets the patch.
Buying the addon will just give your Fortress + the Fortress campaigns (which are really good btw).
If you don't want to buy it you'll still going to get "In game RMG", "skill wheel change", "bug fixes", and I believe even the new skirmish maps (don't quote me on that but i think that's how it goes, might be wrong) And anything else that is 'game' related rather than faction related, you'll get.

Well, it basically confirms all the conspiracy theories. They admit to totally botching this project, cutting corners in any way possible just to get it out of the door. Worst of all, they knew they were releasing a train wreck and still went ahead. Thanks for sharing.

Problem is, "do as much as they can" amounts to "nothing that really helps". At the risk of sounding rude, a year and eight patches failing to get the core game into a playable state is, at best, a disgrace.
