My game doesn't even launch!!!

I just bought the Deluxe Edition, but Heroes VII doesn't launch on steam, and asks for the cd key if i launch through the executable.

What can I do? Thanks!

Try installing UPlay separately and launching that before launching the game. Alternatively, try launching it straight from UPlay. I actually created a .bat file to launch the game and I use that, since it doesn't launch from Steam for me either. If you want to go that route, just put the following in a new text file and save it with a .bat extension. When you double-click it, it'll launch UPlay and Might and Magic Heroes 7.

The executable only works if i run it as administrator, and still it asks for the cd-key.
Nothing else works. No solutions.

Does it show up for you in UPlay? I had a lot of trouble getting it to launch as well.

No it doesn't show up.

To get it to launch the first time, I opened UPlay to "My Games" and tried five or six times to launch it from my Steam library, since it didn't show up in UPlay for me either. I don't know why everything to do with this game is garbage. I wish I had more help for you.

Been already one hour I'm looking for a solution... this game doesn't make me happy.

Well if I run the exe as admin through steam, it still needs the uplay cdkey... ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

If you still have an issue let us know so we can further troubleshoot with you by opening a ticket with our Support Team https://support.ubi.com including a DxDiag report and MS info.

What do you mean with "killing the process?" When I launch the game I instantly close the application through CTRL+ALT+DEL ?
So I do that, then try to manually update uplay that's right? My uplay is uptodate though.

Why is there three uplay related processus when I try to launch H7?
1x uplaygamelauncher.exe, 2x uplay webcore (32x).exe ?
I am on windows 10 x64 bits. Is that normal?
Also My uplay is up to date, shall I reinstall it and reupdate it manually?

I did the above. Is this a developer issue with no cd key or is this a steam issue. i started a ticket in ubisoft under the account name oneasstworisk.

Same, launched a ticket.

Easiest way would to simply have a cd-key...

AFTER A FULL DAY OF WORK, I FOUND THE SOLUTION!!

Johnson, you'll need first to put the steam.exe as admin and compatibility set on w7.
Then put every executable (uplay, heroes 7) as admin.
Now launch the game through steam.
Bam! It works!
What was finally the problem was a lack of high status privilege, which becomes obsolete when you set your status as admin on absolutely every executable required (including steam!!)
