I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble launching Might & Magic Heroes VII. Thanks for taking the time to share your report with us, and for letting us know what troubleshooting steps you've already tried.
jmsand1 makes a great suggestion! When installing older Ubisoft titles, the Ubisoft Connect client provided might be out of date. I'd recommend ensuring that you have the most up-to-date version of Ubisoft Connect installed on your PC.[www.ubisoft.com]
I would also suggest trying the other troubleshooting steps shared on this basic PC troubleshooting guide.[www.ubisoft.com] In particular, I'd recommend that you disable any background applications[www.ubisoft.com], as these can conflict with game files and cause technical issues.
If you're still having trouble launching the game after trying these steps, please don't hesitate to share an update with us within this thread so we can investigate further.
Thanks,
- Ubisoft Support
I have looked though MSINFO to see whats happening to crashes, I've fully uninstalled and reinstalled to different drives, I've uploaded my DxDiag file to them as well. Nothing. I've reinstalled Ubisoft, I've uninstalled any Workshop related content and even the two dlc in my folders. I've gone into the engine to stop it from running in full screen/borderless window from true to false. The troubleshooting page as well on Ubisoft i went down the list doing all the options and it still proceeds to fail. Went even into the properties to have it admin access and ugh I'm mentally and physically wiped. This is by far one of my favorite games. Yeah when it was working multiplayer was a little rough with crashes or having it where it freezes on turns. But man. I wish this game was updated more. I CRAVE to play this game so much. I had issues with it but I could at least play it!! <3
Saw some threads on how you have to Disable SMT Mode in BIOS because of the High core count from my AMD Ryzen 5950x. I don't want to disable it just to run a game, seems silly to spend that money and wait that long for an item to increase the power of my computer to have to disable the SMT on it. So maybe you guys could look into it and see if that's it? I guess i could disable it to try it but eh. I have PTSD from going into my BIOS because it locked me out of my PC from one miss click LOL. Anyways I've just about tired myself out by doing everything in my power just to run this beauty.
Please, Help me. Please. I just want to return to this amazing game. Hope one day you guys make another one. The Improvements alone from dating back to the goodies from Heros M&M 3 to 7 is insane. just wish it was a game that kept growing and updating. and the fact you could do the same turns with your time simultaneously with your team was SOOOO nice. It was probably the hardest part playing 3 with friends because the time it took XD anyways enough of my rambling.
Get back to me when you can!
Thanks.
Hey there Depth Stalker, thank you for taking the time to get back in touch and for sharing those additional details.
I appreciate you letting us know that you are passionate about the game and that you really enjoy it, that's great news! We will thoroughly investigate the problem. I understand you have mentioned that you created a case and submitted some files for our specialists but it does not seem to be going anywhere. Let me assure you that our specialists will continue further and investigate it, I would recommend that continue with that case, as we are limited with our investigation tools while using Steam.
Regarding the BIOS changes, I recommend that you do not proceed with any unauthorized changes. As you understand, modifying the BIOS could cause issues with the PC if not done correctly. If you have any further questions or you experience any other issues, please do not hesitate to reach back out.

Here I am trying to figure out how to fix it, but I'm thinking that it might be an issue with BIOS and with the new CPU's or something. Maybe an update roll out would be good to adjust launch issues and maybe some bugs/crashes. One day I hope to play again.
I also submitted a response on the support email and I have not heard back yet ever since I said it might not be on my end and could have something to do with Bios, considering there's a few posts online. But agreed to what you said earlier. I do not want to touch things in Bios just to play one game, that could be resolved by updating the game. Hopefully all ends well.
From posts online some said to turn off SMT. Do you have one of the new 5900 series? I literally have 0 idea on what to do. and Ubisoft doesn't either. I'm just screwed. I've done every trouble shoot, I've given all information I've could. one of the worst feelings at this point. Hopefully they can see whats going on. or maybe get a nice update out or something.
Thank you for your reply. Could you let us know your system specs please?
