Unable to Locate Uplay PC

The game won't run. It tells me to reinstall Uplay PC, but still doesn't work. Any help here?!

same issue here. Had a craving to play it on my new PC after a few years,

I ended up being able to download uplay from ubisoft website. it located the games installed through steam properly. And I was able to launch the game from Uplay.

Haven't tested if it's recognized by steam launcher now. I'm guessing there's a way for a manual launch option to point to the uplay app from steam if it doesn't work.

Yeah, I was going to suggest running it from UbiConnet rather than Steam, and see it works.

First get running Uplay then release the game throuh steam. I even had (it seems) to unistall Uplay and install again but it works finally.

I discovered that the Uplay.exe launcher had been installed on my computer when I downloaded the game. However, when I launched this application, it still unfortunately returned an error. I am thankful that I purchased this disappointment when it was on sale and that it also game with MMH3, which is satisfactory for a nostalgia fix. #uninstalled

Try downloading and installing the latest version of ubisoft connect (https://ubisoftconnect.com/en-CA/). You will need to login and have it running in the background in order to play this game, even on steam.

Hey there folks.

Just to clarify Uplay PC has now been replaced with Ubisoft Connect. It's possible that when installing the game it might install an older legacy version of the client which will no longer function.

You can download the latest version of the client from here[connect.ubisoft.com] and once that's downloaded it will automatically keep itself updated to the latest version as and when updates are released.

Not possible.
Most triple A companies have imposed their own launchers on Steam and, in most cases, it's mandatory to have an account and run the launcher (you can run it from your library but it will prompt the other launcher right after).

It's their way to strong-arm you into using their platform.

Hey MasterGear,

I'm afraid this isn't possible, as Ubisoft Connect is a requirement to be able to launch the game.

There are no current plans for it's removal but are happy to pass on any feedback.

i play this game only then i dont need uplay like HOMM3 i will not install uplay only for this 1 game i dont have other game from ubisoft and i dont play online so pls change it to play offline without uplay

Sorry to hear you don't want to have to install Ubisoft Connect.

Like mentioned by Ubi_TheBerry, Ubisoft Connect is needed with all of our games to run properly, even when playing offline.

Currently, we don't expect to remove Ubisoft Connect from the process, but your feedback is appreciated.
