ArcheAge Chronicles

ArcheAge Chronicles

Couple of thoughts, from an ArcheAge player that has played countless hours.
1. I don't think PVP ruined servers. Having a PVE only server would just split the community which I think is going to be rather small to begin with. So I would have to think it'd be better to be able to toggle PVP much like you would the Bloodlust feature. Maybe only available to turn off and on in cities. Much like World of Warcraft.

2. Incorporating NFTs or a blockchain or a metmask wallet into the game is a big negative for me.

3. One of the best aspects of ArcheAge for me was fishing runs, and pirate battles. Taking out ships would make this game just like any other MMORPG or ARPG.

4. Trade packs was such a cool idea.

5. The story in ArcheAge wasn't grandiose but, I liked it for what it was, it kept me interested. The story ended way too soon imo. It turned into a grindfest pretty quickly.

6. Mounts are super important. Variations would be awesome, as long as it's not super unrealistic. The steam engine mount was pretty neat. Adding different details for mount would be cool.

7. Player housing was such a core to the game. From guild readying trade packs to ship overseas for runs or just hanging out with the guild planning attacks. Minimizing this to 10 players is a terrible idea. If you've gotta instance one area to another to help the server handle it better. That'd be better than limiting 10 players to a world. Maybe take some notes from Once Human on this one.

8. PVP battles in the open world was such a fun event to take part in. With gliders it was chaotic and beautiful. Taking away gliders would cripple the game imo. Again, take notes from Once Human.

9. Keybinds for closest enemy, allies target and maybe a focus target would be great.

10. P2W is a trash model. Paying for cosmetics, makes more sense. F2P doesn't seem legit to me either.

11. Modular building pieces like "Conan Exiles", "Rust", "Once Human" make for a much better experience from my standpoint.

Just my thoughts. I loved ArchAge. Looking forward to see how things go in development.
