help with vera quest *spoilers*

I'm doing the quest shadows and whispers in chapter 5.

I've freed gareth and the slaves and they have left. I've found vera, but after killing everything on the map, and now she has disappeared.

My quest log reads "We found Vera, the slave leader, hiding in the museum. We informed her that the frost salamander leader wanted her dead. She thanked us for the information and said she would take precautions."

Does anyone know what the next stage is please? It is irritating that it is still in my quests to do list!

I think I must have broken the quest somehow. There is now nothing living on the map, neither enemy nor neutral. Also I noticed that the quest text has appeared in chapter 6 of my journal not chapter 5.

I have same thing as you, my quest text apeared in chapter 6 part of journal, I finished the quest with her and talked with her after saving slaves and got extra exp, but I am just annoyed that that quest is in my chapter six bugged... :/

i found her dead after talking to her a few times, u have to protect her by talking and distracting the salamanders who are close.

nothing broken about it, the quest can only be completed if you kill Verna

as to why it appears in journal - you must accept the quest from that salamander commander to find and kill the leader of slaves.

Actually, after talking to Verna but before dealing with slaves you can talk to salamander guard nearby and convice him there was no slave in the upper levels.
