I cannot open the door to jamoth's tomb to destroy the lich?

so im in dorn's deep. i have advanced past the initial room where the lich has appeared. I have a key that I found inside a sarcophagus which i assume opened the door in the first room of the tomb, the one with the stairway.

i am in the second room of the tomb, the one where the lich keeps reappearing and there are coffins in small rooms on either side. i have advaned down this corridor and i have found the lich' phylactery.

I assume i need to take this beyond the large door at the end of the hallway. But it is locked and will not open. why? I don't recall th lich dropping an additinal key and did not find one in any of the side rooms.

You need to go back to where Jamoth's tomb is and the phylactery will automatically disappear from inventory and in the box where it tells you who is attacking you, who you are attacking etc, it will tell you that the phylactery has gone and the lich is dead. Once the lich is dead, you need to go back to Norlinor and tell him that Terikan is dead. (Make sure all the minions are dead as well as this can stop you from progressing to the next part of the game)

Once the forge is lit again, find the Forge Key in the room where Norlinor is, which will allow you to progress through the big door at the end of the tomb to carry on with the game.
