Enabling Cheat Code and Console

I have played Icewind Dale since I was a young guy. I remember you can activate cheats but can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I'm unsure if I'm doing it right since it's the Enhanced Edition and I grew up playing with the disc. Any help would be appreciated. I'm just looking to prevent the random loot rolling for a full play through. I really want a play through were you get everything for every boss. Looking at you Severed hand dungeon...

Insert this in Baldur.lua with a text editor.

SetPrivateProfileString('Program Options','Debug Mode','1')

press control + space to bring up the console or one of the many hotkeys to do the things
