Its a real world saying.
So no; dwarves do not eat Goblins in DnD ... however; Goblins do eat dwarves, humans, hobbits, elves, and anyone else that they are able to subdue, capture, and lead to the slavepens in their filthy and disease ridden lairs.
I'm just saying it doesn't make any sense. Like I said, I've never heard anyone say "easy as apple pie." Even, "easy as pie" is pretty rare. Why would a dwarf say that?
Because first you say that you have no idea what "easy as apple pie" could possibly mean but then turn around and admit that you have heard "easy as pie" and somehow think that missing the fact that the two are the same exact saying is ... well; whimsical is probably the nicest way to put it.
As for why a dwarf would use the phrase; "easy as pie" ... the answer simply that someone somewhere thought it would be funny to do so; same reason that the NPCs in the Original Saga all had 4th Wall joke lines.
Didn't know what "easy as apple pie meant".
Knew what "easy as pie" meant.
Didn't make the connection between the two phrases.
Asked if dwarves actually ate goblins in DnD.
...
And I'm being unreasonable?
Better than starting a troll thread just to troll. *shrugs*
That happens when I begin to lose interest in a third rate troll. Try harder to be creative enough to hold my attention.
