Is there a trick to the Godlike achievement?
Because I've tried starting a party in Story Mode a whole bunch of times and it doesn't unlock...

I've tried lowering Strength down to 18 using a potion and then waiting for it to wear off so that it is "raised" to 25. I've tried a single character party, a group of six, parties that meet the different alignment achievements, etc, etc.

Nothing I do seems to unlock this one. Any advice?

The 'trick' is to not try using any tricks. Just play normally, use a potion then cast a strength spell, it's not rocket science.

Fair enough. I'd read a few comments stating that it was an automatic unlock in Story Mode, but I guess that information is pretty much out of date. I'll do it the old fashioned way then. :P

It used to be automatic with story mode.

There is a potion that will give you 24 strenght (one of the giant potions of...), also there is a ring that will give you +1 Strenght and -1 Dexterity i think. Just drink the potion and then, equip the ring.

I was trying to get it with the Red Potion, it gave me 25 INT, but it didn't unlock.

Were you in Story Mode? I've finally managed to unlock Godlike, and I did it using purple potions to get 25 INT.

However... It wouldn't work in Story Mode. I exported the character, started a new game, drank a pair of purple potions, and done. :P

My guess is that Godlike can't be achieved in Story Mode at all.

Yes, that was in my story mode playthrough. I will try it in a core play, thanks for the info.

I was able to unlock the achievement with the purple (or was it the red) potion. But what I also discovered was that the character using it had to be in the "party leader" or top position. It did not work when I gave it to one farther down the order. I think the same thing happened when I was trying to unlock "Juggernaut."

That wasn't an issue in my case... I was working on the Solo Adventurer / Story Mode achievements, so I only had one character in the party.

Thank you for your post! I was trying to get the achievement on my bard, but it wouldn't unlock no matter what. Gave the red potion to the 'leader' and it popped at once after drinking... Really a bad 'bug'.

So glad to read this, was wondering why none of the achievements based on character stats worked, it only works on the top character. I just moved a grandmaster weapon skill guy to top, achievement. Dragged my wizard up, drink 2 purple int potions achievement.

Guess thats a big achievement bug :)

In the second town you can buy upto 3 potions in the ship shop that raise Dex and Int, these potion effects stack so you can get this achievement pretty much near the start of the game so long as you have at least one character with high Dex or Int.
Elves and Halflings can start the game with 19 Dex and Gnomes with 19 Int so you only need at least 2 of those potions if you have one of those races in your party.

Can take a minute after drinking the potions to pop though so be patient.
