Trials of Luremaster is difficult as hell
Don't you think so? I get my butt kicked a number of times before I finally complete it. :drinkinghorn::handofhelm::viol:

Yes, and I had a very good group of multi classed characters with a mix of shield and two weapon styles and the highest stats they could get with a bard to buff, protect and heal bot for them . I played it straight after the severed hand and it was the last thing I did before chasing the dragon, I tried taking it on before visiting the barbarian camp at first, but got my ass kicked by harpies. I would have had a much easier time of it if I'd done some things in Dorns deep and not start the expansion straight after the severed hand.

I think the difficulty is just right for my level of ability. I'd rank IWDEE and the expansion an exciting and engaging 5/10 on the challenge scale, which is the same as I'd rank baldurs gates sword coast stratagems mod. Vanilla baldurs gate is a dull 1/10. Middle of the scale is the best place to be: hard enough that some of my team will die sometimes, but not so hard that I have to be extremely specific in my methods and try for hours to get through a fight.

Well, you've said nothing about when you've started that expansion.

If you go in too early, with undergeared, under leveled heroes, then yes, it will be very very difficult.

If you go in at the end of the game right before finishing the main quest with a party of level 30's then it will be much easier.

So when you do it is in fact very relivant to your claim that it is "difficult as hell".

Meta knowledge is so powerful in these games. Know the weaknesses, either physical or magical, know the spells they cast so you can counter them, know the strengths of your group. Trials of the Luremaster can be tough, but your group is tougher! :broflex:
