Special Level Unlock Logic?

If you look at this screen shot, you can see where I currently am and where the puzzle unlock is. I thought you needed to be in the general area. Is that not the case anymore?

Looking at the map right now- if you hover over locked special levels, the tooltip shows you at what level it unlocks. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3356767876

This does help and thank you for that. Still, it does seem kind of far away.

Yeah, like ☺ Gatorau ☺said- artistic licence- they were able to make a winding, spooky trail through the ruins of Dracula's castle and lands. Though I agree a bit- it is visually confusing at times being far away from a special level, but being able to play it.

Very true. And after thinking about it, there's nothing that says I have to play the level immediately once it's unlocked. I can wait until I get there to play it.
