mk1 eyeballs
Hello

I saw that all units in the game seems to have this "sensor". Something i don't understannd, is if it is something active or not, and it s his purpose. I read that it can detect units in a range of 60 nautic miles ? But i think i must be mistaken but don't really understood what is for this sensor.

If someone can help...

Hint: You've got two of these sensor built-in. Look in the mirror. But don't close your eyes. :)

so it is just eyes of the navigators/sailors !!

but however, just a question about it : 60 NM, means 60 Nautic miles. they need a telescop to see at this range ?

At that range, they see (large) contrails and wakes.

Mk1 eyball is a military term

"Mk1 Eyeball" is a common humorous term used in the military to simply refer to unaided human vision. A sailor or airman that is frustrated with a malfunctioning radar or infared sensor may be admonished by a senior to simply look out the window and use his Mk1. 60 nautical miles is a bit far for human vision, particularly for objects that do not emit much light or that are hard to distinguish from background objects. 15nm is probably a more common limit, though a lot of this depends on haze and weather effects.
