1. First ensure you've added a side to the scenario, go to Editor->Add/Edit sides. Then to add an airbase, press control and right click the mouse on the location you wish to add the base. Then search for "Single Unit Airfield" you would be best to pick one of the ones with 4000m+ Runways to ensure all aircraft can use it.
2. Once you've added the airbase (or other unit which supports aircraft) select that and go to Editor->Edit Aircraft. This will bring up a dialog which allows you to add aircraft, you can chose a callsign and number of aircraft.
3. The editor allows you to make a scenario that you can then release so others can play. Alternatively it just allows you to sandbox and play around with various units.
4. Check our the warfaresims.com site, there is plenty of documentation there and also the forums which are a great help!.
hope this helps.
TY!
Out of curiosity: Which parts of the user interface do you consider wierd or otherwise uncomfortable?
Not picking a fight or anything; we're constantly trying to improve our interface to match how our customers use the game.
Thanks.
Thank you, I do not think for an instant anyone is picking a fight and why you ask is clear.
The awkwardness of mine stems mainly from a long time usage of Harpoon. I expect a great many Harpoon users have graduated to CMANO, also, as it is a bit of a natural progression. The main reason for my posting was to get some help to learn the sim "as is", which I am doing with yours and others help right here, plus the excellent guidance to the best sources to continue learning. No worries, I'll certainly get used to it, and thank you for the invitation to give some feed back, but I honestly think I am still way too new to the game to contribute anything valid yet, and apologies for any misunderstanding.
