Time compression won't work
I'm trying to accelerate a mission to the maximum speed and it won't. I's a 2-day mission and i want to see if AI is doing anything because so far it looks like innexistant.
But in fact, puting the time compression to '30mn 1800x" desn't accelerate more than 1mn time compression so it takes ages to move forward into this 2-day mission..
???? any idea ? bug ?

Most of the scenarios in C:NI are around 20 hrs long+ so that is practically two days anyway and havent experience any proboems with those - just the fact that time compression above 1min doesnt seem to have any effect. Cant comment on teh AI though but I haven noticed in NI so far the subs are very easy to kill as they seem to do nothing when surrounded by active beacons etc, they start speeding up, evading and diving when a torp comes near but thats it. You would think they would attempt to dive deep when detected.

Hi,

The sim engine _tries_ to compress the time by 1800x but it is not guaranteed to do so, obviously the size/complexity of the scenario and the available hardware (especially CPU) greatly affects this.

There is also the chance that some very situation-specific bottleneck has manifested itself. This is why we always ask for players to send us a save file of that situation so that we can investigate it. We are very actively searching for and eliminating performance hotspots so suitable saves are greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
I have gone into the game settings, and deactivated a lot of features. It makes the game a little more difficult to play but more than doubled my game speed.

There is actually a tab titled "Game Speed".

Thanks for bringing this up, in my other discussion
Zooming in makes it run faster as well, for me it like doubles the games run speed when I am zoomed in as opposed to being zoomed out.
