Steam built-in FPS meter won't display
Steam FPS (in Steam/settings/in-Game) doesn't work with CMANO ?
Any idea on how to get FPS without installing special software ?

There is no point in using the FPS meter to benchmark Command. The game is much more CPU-limited rather than GPU-limited. The built-in diagnostics are a far better indicator.

Thanks. But I'd like to double-check it by myself. For example the impact on performance of different map layers like relief, etc. My PC is rather weak on the GPU front, not the CPU ... Hence my question ...
So how do I get teh FPS?

You can select the option "Show Diagnostics" (Game Options window), which shows you the number of "Active Units" (ships, aircraft, in-flight weapons etc.) currently in a scenario and the "pulse time" (how much actual time it takes to calculate a timeslice in the sim).

on my pc with dinosaur old video card GPU usage for CMANO is always 2-3%.

You can use Process Explorer from Sysiternals Suite to see how much of your GPU is used by it

In fact, one reason I want the FPS is that my laptop has two graphic cards. One Integrated IBM 4000 and one Geforce. So, having the FPS displayed will directly tell me the best performing card for this game.
Will of course also try the above suggested test.

I tried the Process Expl. Thanks !
And yes, you're right guys. It's heavy on the CPU, not the GPU.

Back to the "show diagnostic" built-in tool. What is a "normal/aceptable" value ? I guess it depends on the size of scenario and number of active units ?
But I would appreciate a benchmared figure ...
Thanks

So for example. playing the first Air tutorial bombing phase with AU count - 142 the thing will have in average around 10ms and will sometime jumping to 40-90 ms
My main conbcern is that when click on the map to move it, I useually have a 500ms to 1 second delay between the click an dthe actual move. Same for the zoom. It zooms easy 1 sec after I roll the mouse button.
Is this normal ?

A lag of some tenths of a second in map zoom/pan is a known issue and is being worked on (it requires a total rework of the map engine to really get rid of).

Cool , thanks for the info. Would be great if you guys could improve it but it of course is already playable right now.
