Stuck at fixing boat: bug or ?

so enjoying Melissa K. but now I'm stuck. If you don't want any spoiler info then fair warning however if you played and can help, much appreciated. thanks

I have all the items I need to fix the boat but no matter what I do nothing happens.

I had already dragged the boat pieces together before obtaining everything then I finally found what I needed, the Catalyze-It Product, bag full of sawdust, and Super-Hardener Product to patch up the boat. instructions are there and no matter what I do nothing will happen.

suggestions, help? am I missing something? thanks:)
