We've found the problem and fixed the FFB issue internally.

The next thing we have to do is give it a bloody good testing to make sure it is 100% fixed. This will be done over the next few days, if everything goes smoothly *touch wood* we'll then upload the fix to Steam and get it distributed so we should have a patch out in the next few working days (next week).

As ever I'll keep you updated, hopefully it passes testing OK :)

FFB update for you.

Everything checks out with the patch so far, the QA team are just going to do some final extra testing with wheels that aren't officially supported (this is because DiRT 3 is an old game and users with newer wheels had reported the issue).

Its mainly because DiRT 3's officially supported wheel list was just these

Logitech G25
Logitech G27
Logitech Formula Force EX
Thrustmaster T500 RS
Thrustmaster Ferrari 430
Thrustmaster Rally GT Force

But obviously all wheel users have been hit with the bug so we're doing some extra testing on all the ones that people have reported issues on to make sure it is fixed. The last thing we want to do is say its fixed when it's not for everybody.

I'm optimistic for the fix to be live by the end of the week and I'll keep you updated.

Bad news about the FFB patch and it looks like it is gonna take longer to fix :(

It shouldn't be much longer and I am really sorry. Believe me I'm just as upset about it as you guys are.

I'll have more news on Monday. I hoping we can get it live as soon as we can.

I'm pleased to announce that we've just set the FFB patch live and it should automatically download for you shortly.

Here's the patch notes

FFB Fix – (Wheel Input) – Resolved instances of certain steering wheels pulling to the extreme right.

We have however had the following known issue crop up – Logitech Formula Force EX Force Feedback Wheel under certain circumstances is not detected. (We're still looking into that one so please let us know if it affects you)

Please be sure to let us know if you experience any further problems and thanks again for being so damn awesome!

Let me know if it is working (or not) for you and sorry it took so long.

Same here. It works in the previous Dirt 3 version, which I played just before downloading and trying the new one, but in the the new one it pulls to the right.

Same problem here on a Thrustmaster TX 458.

In the control options have you switch the default contoler from Keyboard to "you're wheel make". from memory it's the 3rd option down in the list?

My wheel is not officially supported by the game so i can't do this. I have 2 options 360 pad (cuz it's plugged in) or keyboard.

I just manually mapped the buttons. Which worked fine on my TX on the GFWL version of DiRT3, given the FFB was a bit wonky.

Here it forces the wheel right all the time.

Have you tried unplugging the 360 pad? if i have my G27 plugged in and try playing BF4 it just shoots my view skyward and i can't look.

Same problem with my Fanatec CSR, both on PC mode and PS3 mode (G25 emulation). The wheel always pull to the right. I didn't have this problem with the older DVD version of the game.

Same here - g27
Crusni8 Apr 1, 2015 @ 11:27am
Same here, g27 always steering to the right. Previous version didn't have this issue.

While racing, my steering wheel pulls to the right, as if it thinks it's center is on the right.
I noticed something odd while looking at the wheel settings ingame, linearity was on 4 by default (instead of 0 which would be the center)

I'm gonna look into the xml files to find a fix, I'll report back if I find anything.

I had this weird thing with Thrustmaster Dual Analog 4 controller( I use x360ce to get full control of game with this gamepad ). When I turn left with my left analog stick it also used "Look back" and well, it was horrible to even try to drive. Fixed it by setting my controller again in x360ce. Dunno if it applies to your problem at all but just wanted to point that out :) I hope you'll find a solution!

Same here but im using Fanatec Clubsport Wheel V1.

Wheel pulls to the right on acceleration. All cars so far have same problem. All surfaces also.

Also notice there is no "WHEEL" preset in controller options. Only gamepad and keyboard.

Clean install. No original Dirt 3 files or install.

Same deal happening with my G25. I've got no other game controllers connected. I'm not surprised that the game is even less playable than it was before.
