Dirt 3 crashes whenever I start a RallyCross event

Hi,

some days ago I bought “Dirt 3”. While generally it runs very good I’m not able to start any RallyCross event. When I start the race there’s the introduction that explains how RallyCross works, then I shortly see the loading screen and then the game crashes. Reproducibly, always. I tried different cars; makes no difference. I tried forcing the game to DirectX9 mode via the setting in the hardware_settings_config.xml file; makes no difference. I tried running the game in full-screen mode or in windowed mode; makes no difference.

Is there anything I can do to find out why this crash is happening? And to solve the issue? I’d really like to do these RallyCross events :-)
