Cheat To Avoid Gymkhana?

I have never used a game cheat before, but if anyone knows of a cheat to avoid the Gymkhana I would love to know it. I suppose I could lower the difficulty just to get through it but, after enjoying the game so much, I find having to endure this garbage just offensive. I wouldn't mind if I had a choice but I just want to progress onto Season 2. If I wanted rubbish like this I would have bought a ballet dancing simulator.

If you don't want to enjoy the garbage that's part of the game, you can feel free to play a different game.

But the point is that the rest of the game is so good. I have enjoyed excellent races and rally stages, and am looking forward to more, but now have to get through Gymkhana before being able to enjoy any more races. That's ridiculous. I don't want to play a different game because I bought (and was enjoying) this one.
I have no complaint about the game containing a variety of styles, and if other people want to play the Gymkhana sections then that is fine - I just cannot understand the game designers forcing me to get through it in order to get back to the races.

Place high in other events and do sponsor tasks, then you should be able to skip gymkhana completely. It's only a royal ♥♥♥♥ if you want all of the achievements really.

If you do find you have to clear an event, just set the difficulty to 1 for it.

Is that correct? It sounds more like Need For Speed Shift, Grid or similar. I was under the impression that I had to place 3rd or higher to progress. However, I will certainly go for lowering the difficulty levels so that I can get on with the races. Thanks for your reply.

Lowering difficulty to 1 did the trick. Now I can get back to enjoying the game I bought. Thanks.

I agree that Gymkhana should be optional. I like to *race* in my racing games.

Aaaarrggghhh. I have just tried Gymkhana Sprint and there is no option to lower the difficulty. I absolutely love Rally, Trailblazer, RallyCross etc, and put the difficulty back up high, but Gymkhana....

Gymkhana is the reason that I abandoned this game and almost abandoned the entire Dirt series. Obviously I didn't buy and will never buy Dirt Showdown. Luckily Dirt Rally was on offer this weekend so I bought that game - the TRUE sucessor to Colin McRae Rally.

Yeah I have to admit its the reason I abandoned it when I bought it originally. Is there anything past the first 3 events i.e. AlpineAllstars, Brembo Blast and Transworld Clash? Beyond that blasted Gaykhana I mean? I'd love to know.

DiRT Rally is the reason I tried it again... nope, still that blasted Gaykhana. No way around it, if there is anything beyond it.

If I ever meet Ken I'm going to personally knock his Block off.

Anyone got a savegame with Gaykhana completed for download somewhere? Because I've love to see the rest of the damn GAME I PAID FOR. Just as well I got it in a sale I'd have mightily pissed off if I paid full price for this ♥♥♥♥.

There is a huge amount to this game and it is well worth persevering. As soon as Gymkhana arrives I simply set difficulty to 1 and drive through the blocks and jumps. The Gymkhana events where I cannot lower the difficulty I have ignored and have, so far, been able to progress through the seasons. That said, I still stand by my original angry comments.

Not sure what you mean dude....Dirt Rally (as in the game called DIRT Rally that's still in early access) has no Gymkhana.

I read this as enjoying Dirt Rally inspired him to try Dirt 3 again, only to be disappointed. I might be wrong.

Oh, my bad. I see what you mean. I'm in a similar position to be honest.

I bought Dirt Rally but decided to give Dirt 3 another try since I got upgraded to the Complete Edition to see what the difference was.

I still love everything apart from the Gymkhana. It should never have been in the game imo, it feels out of place here but Dirt Showdown was obviously a good place for it.

Not that I'm ever going to buy Dirt Showdown - I'm too much of a rally fan.
