if you are trying to add an DiRT3 save data to this version , you can forget that , it's not compatible with each other.
are you sure of that? Saves from new version have same name except for savegame@profile0# in front of it

If you are not believe , try it and you will see the new version will just ignore the old save data and replace it with new one.
Bah, I start over .. no choice.
If you rename the files according to the new name system, your old profile will show up at the start and also display the correct number of races. Unfortunately it does not actually load from the savegame but always returns to that screen. Given the similarities of the savegames I highly doubt that they have completely rewritten the way the saves work, so I have still hope that there is a way to convert them.
So deal with it, and to old saves say bye-bye,
if you want to play DiRT 3 with Steam online.
