Menus with Controller??

How come it doesn't allow me to navigate in-game menus with the controller? I always have to get up and use the arrow keys, and enter key, on the keyboard, to navigate the menus. The controller only works while driving.

Both Xbox controller and Logitech F710 work fine for me.

I also have an Xbox controller, and it always works for me if I've had the controller on and connected before the game starts, and skip the intro scenes using the controller instead of the keyboard

The controller used to control the menus for me, but it doesn't anymore. I have no idea what happened. Doesn't appear anyone else does either...

I'm having the same problem, I have an xbox controler also. To be honest, I didn't even start a race because I assumed the controler wasnt being recoginized. And going into the contols I only saw keyboard keys and wheel settings, no controler option or a way to switch to it that I could see. Looking for a fix, thanks.

Was just using my controller to navigate menues earlier today.

Seem like when you use your m/kb to skip the intro, it only recoginize the m/kb. But if you start by using your controller, Navigating the menus with the controller works fine for me.

Same problem - xbox controller and win7. Works up until the autosave message, then no controller button lets me continue - have to hit enter on the keyboard. After that I can only control menus with the keyboard.

as wzc stated, you need to use your preferred controller on the press start screen (so press A for example if you're using the xbox gamepad) to make it work in the menus

same problem here with logitech f710; but when I start a new profile, ıt works just fine. So ı can't play my saved games...
