All of them except Rally and 4 are missing from the store. This was done because of expired licenses (I think for music), because Codemasters only bought it for a span of 5 years. Since DiRT 3 and Showdown are more recent games, this was easier to piece together from their 2011-2012 release dates (excluding 3's Complete Edition rerelease, which they only fixed the game's GFWL issue, ported the multiplayer to Steamworks, and bundled all of the DLC together). They didn't renew the licensing for any of them, resulting in it being taken down as you have noticed.

Ah, makes sense. Thanks for the Info.

Pretty lame of them to not replace the audio with something else though, there are loads of musicians / bands who'd love to get their music heard by a wider audience, even if it doesn't make them any money immediately - it's all exposure they wouldn't have had otherwise :-(

That and unlimited use Royalty free music. I work in video production and deal with music licenses all the time. Doesn't make sense for them to do that.

I wonder if you can still download it if it's already in your library, I think I've got it already (I don't play many racing games though), and if not, is there any redress or way to get a refund for the now unavailable digital only games.

Because of the little computer mouse icon next to your name, that confirms that you do have the game. When a game is taken down like this, you simply can't purchase it from Steam store page anymore, but you can freely visit all the Community Hub has to offer, and download the game at any time. Additionally, it is recommended that you at least play with a controller, as digital keyboard controls shouldn't be used for games that only feature driving.

I'm glad I got PREY while it was still up a few years back. Really like that game.

I was simply giving a suggestion if he did go and download the game. It's just coincidental that both the download and the input method of a keyboard are both digital.

It wasn't music, their licenses with car dealers (allowing the devs to use real car names) has ran out, so they either had to change the names of all the cars to not real ones, or make the game unbuyable.

An interesting happening.. After the Rally masterpiece the devs will be put in their places. Slaves are where slaves belong.
