How am I supposed to win against SEVEN planes??

I'm at the mission where you're going ALONE up on patrol against SEVEN planes. Has anyone beat that?! It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ impossible.

My skills are all maxed out, if that's what you mean. I get show down in less than a minute despite that.

I eventually got through it by lowering the difficulty to easy and turning targets on. Cheap, I think.

I did it on the Amiga, haven't gotten up to that yet on this version :P

I've successfully landed my plane after it caught on fire one single time. Every other time the angle of descent was too steep.

Yeah, just go really low, and then fly level with as little down as possible i.e. gun sight just below horizon.
