weapon management - ammunition
hi there,
I played Comsonautica for several days now.
First let me say you did a damn good job so far. I'm a software developer myself (no, not games) and I just can immagine how hard it is to get a whole game running.

Not to the point:
the weapon and ammunition management does not make sense.
There is 1 room for storing ammo but there are 3 ammo types.
Now, as I am progressing in the game, I have the following challenge:
1) i have 2 guns and 1 torpedo room
2) after bying 2 sorts of ammuntion I recognize they all look the same when having zoomed to the ship
3) there is no way to follow the logic of how the ammo depots are filled. I should place an ammo depot near my weapon, but how do I know which ammo goes to which depot on my ship?
4) Bying the ammo does not really make sense in seperating between ammo types when not knowing how much of it will be stored on whic place
5) I have lot of, really, lot lot lot lot lot of ammo on my ship, still having 1 of 2 turrets saying "not ammo". yes. there might be a reason for it, but please, please please please make the game telling me what's the reason for it and what I need to do to make all my weapons working.

That's my observation as far as weapons and ammo is concerned. Would be nice to get some feedback on this.

Still I like playing this game :) Keep on going :)

Thanks Wolf,

yes its not 100% realistic.
Ammunition is internally split up in units.
A torpedo is 60 Units, grenades 10 units and bullets are 2 units.
One box consists of 120 Units.
But those are just visuals.

A crew member will always go to the nearest armory to get ammo and if there is that kind of ammo on the ship he will get it.

The whole thing was designed to be less complex. For the player as well as for us programmers.

If you want to know how much ammo is on the ship you can look into NODE -> Overview -> Weapons
