is there a way to "cheat" some funds (just while i get the hang of the game controls)
ok first of i know how every hates a cheater :P,
but i been playing the game for a while now,,,
and i still suck at turning a profit from trading,
(im guessing the green arrow is buy, and red arrow is sell...but if i buy something from a red arrow and take it to a green arrow planet im always losing profit :<)

and always fail when it comes to the combat missions :<
(its a little hard seeing as hovering over the commands dont show what they do)
i've tried "ramming the enemy, circleing, and fly by... but they just seem to keep turning the ship around,,,

doing delivery missions that ask me to get as many items as possible 8+
i'll manage to get give or take 4 items at less then what ill get from the delivery mission so i "seem" to make a bit of a profit,,, but then i can never find a planet that has enough items to buy before the time runs out =/....

so yeah... if possible does anyone know how i can "cheat" a few 1000 credits till i get the hang of things...

also...
before anyone says "do the tutorial mission"...
i've tried... i can manage to get up to "researching" the box.. but i never have the funds to buy the research station... (thats what i meant by i can never turn a profit :<)
....the parrot wasn't kidding when he said "it might take a bit of getting the hang of""

:'<

if you go the pirate way, you can just use the torpedo to blow the enemy ship away and getting their stuff for the profit

ah i see
so its better to use torpedos instead of the turrets <face palm>

<edit>
it wont let me place the torpedo room :S, theres none of the " + " add room symbols showing up

There's a way and it's done like in some other games, but I won't hint more ;)

ahhh thats cruel chosen :<

also,
there seems to be a bug with the torpedo room and the portside/starboard cannons
they wont allow you to place them (even with 20000 credits in the bank)

Actually you've got it turned around. You want to buy from the green arrow (they produce this and have surpluss) and only sell that product to a station that has a red arrow next to that item. After awhile though you'll be filling up their stock with the item and it won't return a profit any more (even though it still has a red arrow next to it). It's best then to change stations or change what you are trying to sell until their stock depletes again.

At least that's what I've gotten from the game in the short time I've played it.

There is also the loan option. It only gives a few thousand credits but you can research more advanced loans. It just sucks you have a fixed time to pay it back and can't just pay it back through interest over time (and choose to pay in full when you're able).

@B man, ah i see ill give that a try,

ahhhhhhhhhhhh s**t i forgot ALL about the loan system >.<
<didn't work at the time i tried to use it> XD

does the loan system work now ?
gotta say im curious to see what the other ships layouts are like :)

(thats one of the reasons i wanted to "cheat" the cash, so i can set my goal for the ship im after saving up for)

As far as I know it works, haven't had any issues.
1stReaper Feb 24, 2015 @ 1:10pm
cool :D
ill go give it a try now that i can go home
(finishing work is the besting feeling over! :P)

...then it goes right to hell when you realize... you gotta go back to work the next day :< XD

<edit>
just found out why i cant buy torpedos...
the first ship has no room for it XD,,, only saw it after i want to look up the specs of another ship lol
my bad chosen :<

<2nd edit>
looks like you can pay back loans when you want b man,

god i could really do with the cash cheat =/....
i was doing pretty good for once... but then i selected a mission that needed meds in 16 days...
i want to each planet that had the first aid kits in them and none had any >.<
(just want to have one game without having to worry about going into the -'s :<)

also whats up with the gameplay :S
if i start a game ill be good for a while (be getting 20 to 30 FPS then give or take half an hour later its dropped down to 5 to 12 FPS :S)

cant be that my pc's "underpowered"
because its an i5 -4460 @ 3.20GHz, 12GB ram and is running with a 2GB Geforce GT630i graphics card :S

eventho the GT630's underpowered compaired to the GTX series managed at least a good 25FPS on graphically demanding games, like star conflict and splinter cell: blacklist :S

@B Man: I'd like to add, that bigger loans aren't exactly to be researched. To receive one, you have to provide certain securities, which means that your ship's worth (plus installments) will be take into account.

Money Cheat with CheatEngine 6.4 (careful its old GNU project that still has 2 adware install option, so becareful clicking not to install small hidden checkbox)

1.) Open Cosmonautica.exe process with Cheat Engine 6.4
2.) type 20000 (default starting money) in CE6.4 Value field
3.) Select Value Type : Float
4.) Hit First Scan in CE6.4 there will be around 153+ adress
5.) Go into Cosmonautica and built a cargo hold on your starter ship
6.) Back in CE6.4 enter 18800 in the value field
7.) Hit Next Scan button
8.) Whola theres only 1 address left thats the money address, double click it to move it down
the bottom panel of CE6.4. (if thres more than 1 address repeat step 5, step 6 with your new value)
9.) right click the address range on bottom panel, Change Record > Value > input the new amount you want to have, once you got the desiredable amount click on a empty spot or enter will turn the value white.
10.) goback to Cosmonautica buy something in the new cargo hold or built a room on the starter ship. the new money amount is now updated to reflect the change.
11.) dont freeze the address range in CE6.4, could always repeat step 9.

Big spoiler...dont give yourself too much or it totally ruin the game since the market is still a work in progress. but enough to try out the new big ship and fit it how you like.

a note for the dev, dont know if this is mention, upon random crash the game will bug out a random facility on your ship (medic bay, kitchen, etc.) it appear your crew wont notice that its there upon relaunching the game from crash and select resume or continue. prob a save corruption. selling the room at a spaceport and rebuilt it solve it though. had this happen on the Manatide and up to bigger ship.

oh and that worker repair bot still broken and star into the wall......it gameover so many of my play when i send a ship out and it end up broke everythign on a ship on a 10+ day journey.
