How do I investigate the bar?

I talked to the barmaid. Gave her the G. Got the key to the ice cream shed and took the pills and card. I found the secret room, looked at the body and got a tentacle

When I try to go anywhere I am told to examine the bar first. I go in and click on everything and find nothing. I go downstaris and the only thing I have is the computer. I probably need to put some sort of code, but I have no idea what it is... So what do I do now?

You're right, you have to solve the computer puzzle first before you can progress.

I'm not actually sure which mechanism triggered it, but after pressing each button once and also the green button, some of the small LEDs started to glow. Then the computer is activted andd you can solve the puzzle, which is not too difficult.

Thanks. But I found out that my version does not load any saved game, so I have to always start at the beginning. Since I do not have the time to play it to completion in one sitting, I am giving up on it.

Hi,
This is verry strange.
Plase try it again but now maybe disable antyvirus software for time when you are playing.
It never occured on our tests or on any other system before.

I got a new computer and now I can save. BUT I cannot figure out what the puzzle with the computer is. What is it that I am supposed to do? Form a figure? Get a number? Some guidance would be helpful. All I do is press buttons, and nothing changes.

I'm in exactly the same spot as you. About to give up on the game as well, being left with an obtuse puzzle without any clue on how to solve it this early on in the gamedoes not leave a good impression on me. It's frustrating.

Come on guys / gals... it is not that difficult (also please try use You Tube playthorughs - there is quite a lot up there). If you cant find one than please write another post and I will try to give you some hint in here. ;)

Yes, I did that. BUT it would help a lot if we were told what we were supposed to get. If I had not looked at the walkthrug I would still be scratching my head, asking WTF. There is a difference between difficult puzzles and puzzles with no explanation whatsover.

Yep it may be not perfect, but keep in mind that I did this game on my own 100% 1 person (so there may be some inperfection here and there), If I will make point and click game inthe future that level of dificuilty will be avoided for sure. Anyway a lot of players likes game how it is now (even with some of thouse puzzles being more on harder side). There is always a group of players expecting easier stuff, but some of players expect puzzles to bee more challenging as well, so balancing a "Gold Path" for booth groups is a hardest thing. Anyway Im glad you managed to pass that point somehow.

Oh, I appreciate that. I finished it and enjoyed it immensely. by the way I got the positive ending AFTER I said I would join the general, then went back to the corpse and took AGAIN the cube. So is this how it is supposed to work, or is it another bug?

Is there a way to bury the guy; I thought putting the flower picture on him woud work, but no

Is there arnother way of getting the key witthout joining the genearl and giving him the cube?

But bugs and all I loved it. I did get the flask, of course. I learned early in the games that you should always accept new errands and always go back for more conversation, if not a lot of times you cannot go forward. Loved the comments and how they were phrased.

Yep you should make general look away from desk (with some object from inventory, placed somewhere in his in room), after that you can take the key. ;)
