This game needs Customization for controller AND keyboard!

i own the og ps1 darkstone after i played to death the first disc i had to go buy another and the music is always a 9 in this game for me but still.

the controls for the PC SUCK! i need to key bind crap so i can fully enjoy this game yet NO CUSTOM KEY BINDS are in this game how the hell do i contact the makers and have them add a simple update!?

I wouldn't bank on anything ever being done with this title by it's current IP owner Microids. They have just been collecting games, maybe getting them to run on newer systems, and shoveling them back out. They aren't going to add anything to a 25 year old game.

Best we could hope for is a remaster one day, but even that seems like a pipe dream. Darkstone is a small game with a cult following. It was originally sold on PSone for $10, if I remember correctly. I think we have better hope that one of use might make a spiritual successor, but I think this is sadly a game that will just live in the minds and hearts of those who loved it.

But per you controls question, I play on Steam Deck and Steam Input is your friend. I should have a controller scheme available for download on Deck and it could probably be adapted to controllers, but I do lean pretty heavy on the Deck's touch pads.

true but still i loved those days on the ps1 and just 1 UPDATE where you can customize the controlls i would love that!

I wouldn't say it's totally unimaginable that a remaster for Darkstone could happen. Lots of games have been getting remasters that I would never have thought would get them. Blade of Darkness and The Thing come to mind.
Also, I don't know why but I find the click to attack feature so annoying in this game. The cursor seems to click on literally everything but what I am actually trying to click on and it makes large scale fights a pain.
