I enjoy a relaxed game, but also feel that I should be rewarded when I complete a job ultra fast. :-)
Let there be both positives and negatives. You complete it quick, great here's bonus EXP and Money. You miss it, you loose the EXP bonus and money, only making money on how the job would have been without a clock on it.
An idea I do have though, is let the jobs waiting be on a timer. I hate having to go through and clear jobs that I either don't want, or won't get to in reasonable time, and they just sit there. But that's just me.
There is part of me that wishes this game would have 12 Minute "days" and then Shop Leasing fees etc each week. That way it would be more challenging to stay ahead of the curve rather than always making money. But maybe a seperate mode for that would be better so ppl can just play relaxed as well.
Perhaps there will be a career mode, where you start in a shack and move up in life, similar to 2014, but you have to invest into better shops, more lifts, and the like.
it would have to be 1/240th for easy jobs (6 real world minutes) - medium jobs would be 1/120th (12 real world minutes) and hard jobs would be 1/60 (24 real world minutes) or 1/72 (20 real world minutes).
the way i came to this conclusion was because yesterday i used a stop watch and it took me about 14 minutes to do a fairly long job that required alot of parts and body repair.
This game is for relax, i dont want to hurry up.
i do it just took me 4 mins 41 seconds to find 7 parts on the car for the brake system that were not shown to me. i would like to have a timer so that you earn bonus xp and bonus cash depending on how quickly you finish it.
for players that don't want timers their are two simple solutions:
1) Make the timer built into certain jobs = this means if you don't want to be on a timer don't take the job
2) put the timer into the options menu so that the player can decide. if it is on all jobs have timers. if turned off then all jobs have no timers like they do at the moment. however this can be abuseable so maybe the first option is best. for this option to work the game would have to force the timer on the job even if the player quits and go and turns off the timer after the job was taken. this way no matter what the timer starts when the job is taken or started and doesn't stop under any circumstances until the job is completed.
either one works because the player can still decide if he wants a timer or not.
Timer is not necessary. If we will get Hard Mode, i think more time will be needed for repairs.
You can still hurry up if You will.
well this same job that took me 4 mins and 41 seconds to find the 7 parts took me a total of 33 mins to find all the parts and swap. i basically just took apart the entire car and put it back together basically because it was a classic muscle car that needed a SOHC timing belt job so it wasn't a standard job. but still 33 mins for such a hard job that can have a 30 minute timer would be very welcoming.

theres a picture of how hard this job was.
a job this hard should also pay more and give more xp. i basically made only $416 profit for a 33 minute job :(
Relieved that there is no time restriction in the classic mode. Like many of the ideas presented here, like there being some jobs that appear every now and then that has a time restriction. Would be nice to maybe be able to choose the frequency of those jobs, maybe Off -> Low -> Medium -> High -> All. So those who are interested in more of a time challenge can choose to do so.
