v8 ignition coil?

So its there but not used for anything, its for the OHV version of the motor, also considering the engine is not efi then there should be no reason for it (ive fully rebuilt the engine without this part soooooo)

on a real carburated v8 that part would be used but its not in the game for some reason

where would the ignition coil be on a carburated engine?

its useally mounted on the fire wall and any vechicle with a distributor has a coil even the mid 90s chevys still use them and their fuel injected

i fix vehicles for a liveing have my own shop and all though the game is pretty real theres alot that isnt but its a good way to get started if you dont have any knowledge

All cars past and present use some kind of ignition coil. Carbs or injected doesnt matter. The coil provides power to the spark plugs.
Obviously, this doesnt include deisels. They dont use spark plugs.
