The only thing is that you don't need to close the repair order to open the tablet, so switching between the two is relatively quick.
Select for installing part, and the ghost part that displays put your cursor on it and you will see the name of the part that is supose to be installed. If you do not have this part, when you try to install it it will tell you it has nothing in inventory to install. If you have the part, it will display the part in it's condition for you to choose which one.
No matter what, the ghost image of the part, you can put your cursor on and it will tell you the name. There is no way NOT to be unable to install the right part of anything. You can strip the car down, to just the body shell, and sell everything in the inventory and build this car from the body shell and NOT get stuck trying to buy the right part. I have a video of this in my guide.
Pay attention to the part you need and the one your going to get. Some parts like Front Link A or Front Link B is because of the type of suspension layout. Some of these cars are using the old version suspension and other cars are using the newer suspension which uses struts. The game dose not lable the struts, they are just front shocks, but the link end for the stableizer bar to the game strut is not the same as the link end for the stableizer bar to the control arm. So like real cars, there will be A or B parts pending on what is being used.
There is no going into a parts store and telling them you want a water pump for a car, and expect them to just get you one. They do need to know what kind of car and year as well engine first..
