Uncle Jack shows

Not a true bug, but it is worth noting.

Can the Uncle Jack shows follow a programming instead of random?

Every day there are 5 viewing times and all shows are devided in programming groups. Wakey wakey, humor hour, well well well, ectr ectr.
Each viewing hour has its set of programming groups and picks one at random from those. But that also means that each show of that viewing time has an equal chance of showing up.


I am trying to get the Do you know Jack achievement and I am missing 2 shows from the 4Pm viewing time. For the last 170 days ingame I only see:
Play with Jack - Episode 1.
I hear you - Whose uncle are you.
I hear You - Enjoying simon says.
Play with Jack - Weapons.
I hear you - Joy.
Funny Old Customs - Maypole.
I hear you - My husband sleeps in a small bed.
I hear you - Old newspapers.
Funny old customs - Human sacrifice.
I hear you - Word of the day.

Listed is frequently of showing up. My game especially seems to love the Simon Says episodes.
So I was hoping that the programming of the shows gets a tune-up. Like on day 1 it will be an I hear you at 4 Pm, day 2 a Play with Jack. Day 3 Funny old custom and day 4 humor hour.


And as a minor note, just before the show starts at 10:30 Pm you have the small adds on tv. There the add says that Nighty Night starts every night at 6.

I am atleast assuming all shows can show for Arthur.
I found a nice bench besides a tv outside. Because I am running around on easy mode I can wait 24 hours on the bech and repeat each time I hear a show I have already heard.

So yeah, you pretty much figured out how the Uncle Jack video system works. There are time slots, and groups of shows are placed these slots to be semi-randomly chosen. I think we made it so at least the same show won't play twice in a row.

It's super unlikely we will be making any changes to how the system works at this point, since the game is out; and patching changes like that can be very dangerous or game breaking.

I asked one of our Programmers whether there were character specific Uncle Jack episodes and there are, but they're all specific to Arthur, so as far as your method for unlocking all of them goes, you're on the right track! There is only one Uncle Jack episode specific to another character (Ollie), and that one doesn't count towards the Achievement.

We know other users are able to get this Achievement, In fact there is a bug where you can get the Achievement after only having seen 44 of the 45 Uncle Jack shows in the game.

I am wondering about one thing though.
Usually when I do a quick show run, wait till 4 Pm listen to what show I get and sleep 24 hours to get another one and repeat till about 4:40 Pm and sleep 23 hours.

I always get this list of shows.

I hear you - tiny bed
Funny custom - maypole
I hear you - joy
I hear you - joy (not a typo, I always get this one twice in a row)
lets play - simon says
I hear you - enjoy simon say
Funny custom - human sacrifice
I hear you - tiny bed
Then the one about the garden gnome/dud bomb
I hear you - enjoy simon say
Funny custom - pinata or the fire in the garden distric (this one switches from time to time)
Lets play - weapons
I hear you - whose uncle
Funny custom - maypole

After this the list tends to change to either the letter of Royston twice or lets play simon says.

This lists comes by in all my characters, at any time I do a show run.
Am I just this unlucky or are the workers of the broadcast tower taking way to much joy?

Nevermind. It seems there are new workers in the tower.
I am getting slightly differnt lists now. They are still obsessed with the simon says episodes.
