Giving up on this game at Ollie

Game is so terribly unbalanced. Can't find anything I need to craft stuff and there isn't even a store in Ollie's game. Ollie can't move in the village without getting attacked.
I'm 3/4 thru his segment and have not found 1 single gas mask to progress to the next mission. There is none of the stuff he needs that was over plentiful in Arthur's and Sally's segment. Few syringes, duct tape and no linen for clothes to make padded suit for the honey he needs to make critical medicine.

Why make this needed stuff part of the game when it's impossible to find. I don't mind challenging, but I do mind impossible. No fun at all. Think I'll be moving on.

It's not impossible. Stockpile food and acquire the skill to eat rotten food. Until you get padded clothing, when targeting beehives choose those that are located near people. Lure either the people near enough for the bees to attack by throwing stuff for them to 'investigate' or bring the bees to the people. Enter the town after dark and stealth your way around to break into people's homes. Take any witnesses out quietly and quickly. Once you get a boiler suit (you can find one at Victoria Byng's), a proper suit or a fireman's coat you can enter the town during the day without being attacked. Just make sure to avoid the red hatters, avoid getting too close to the doctors and eat something, Ollie talks more ♥♥♥♥ if his blood sugar is too low which will attract attention.

And how does this get me a gas mask ?

I have the boiler suit, which does not prevent you from being spotted by red hats half way across the village (sarcasm) Have zero idea how one would get a fireman's coat.

There is still no store to sell stuff in order to buy stuff you need to craft In the map I have, there are a grand total of 2 homes in the village to burglarize (besides Victoria's) I've raided all the Garden district places and there are still few syringes, duct tape etc. I've had to run around without shoes most of Ollie's game

Getting from one point to the other, even with fast travel requires hours

What has rotten food got to do with blood sugar levels? I'm not short of food, but the instructions say "sweet food" Food is not my problem and neither is sugar levels. I've managed, but how does your bee plan work for "Home to Let" and "Ollies's cache" side quests? How am I going to craft a padded suit without the linen. After playing to the point of needing a gas mask, I have not acquired even 1 piece of linen and I need 5?

I will iterate the point that they game does not provide the needed items even if you have scoured the entire map. I have yet to run across a gas mask anywhere, even in the military camp. Used or otherwise. I'm just reached my limit of running from one end of the huge empty map to the other, which is no fun task.

You can purchase gas masks and other hard to find items from the Shady dealer. Just have to find him first. Unfortunately the map is randomly generated so his exact location varies, but it's always inside a cart in an alleyway, away from prying eyes. Where else I cannot say with full certainty. It has been awhile. Might find them in some of the hatches along with other useful items.

Fireman's coat is an later game item. Wearing it allows you to not only walk around safely but to also disable control boxes, detectors and the like without raising suspicion. The blueprints will be found in one of the hatches. And as for the proper suit, you'll find one in a coffin in the Colonel's house - the one in a wheelchair.

I didn't say anything about rotten food managing blood sugar levels, just to get the skill. Iron stomach however lets you eat rotten food without getting sick to satiate hunger. That way you don't need to waste edibles to manage the blood sugar levels. Which needless to say is an especially helpful skill early on.

The only real challenge is in the beginning. Once you get a leg up, it's no more difficult than Arthur's campaign.

I had a weird feeling that items were going missing in my inventory, specifically boxing shoes I found and the other silent ones, but didn't worry too much about it. However, I did finally find a good gas mask in a safe and went on to play some other stuff. Next thing I knew, the gas mask was missing.

So now, I well and truly am done with this game

i saved often since a few times i explored and died or saved and both showed that part of the map unexplored

gotta be happy its 2024 and its not like its this game or no game
