Is Act 2 better?
Didn't really enjoy my time playing as Arthur.

Should I play Act 2 or just ignore it?

I cant give you an answer, but I hope second chapter is way more engaging than first.
I'm forcing myself to play thru this game, its all rather boring with its hyper aware AI and running around like a headless chicken malarkey. Its just not fun at all.

You play someone with a child and have to run back to the house and look after the child making sure the baby timer does not go to zero, so it's the same as the first chapter, but with a timer. You also become limited on crafting and have to buy items instead of making them.

I had way more fun playing the DLC's than the main story line, which I still haven't gotten through.

In the 2nd chapter you play with Sally Boyle, at first you run around a bit more since she has a baby and you need to take care of her (feed her, change nappies 2 times) but later you get a machine that feeds her so you are free to run around, you can't craft tech stuff with her but you get access to atomizers that are really great, it sprays a cloud of sleeping gas and you can put to sleep multiple enemies (she is not strong in combat so she is better at disabling enemies, and she gets the stealth tree) also you get her story and it intersects at points with Arthur's story so you see why she asked Arthur for some stuff, 3rd act is with Ollie Starkey, unlike Arthur or Sally Ollie is all about combat and he is really strong at it, also he is sick so he needs to take glucose injections from time to time (honey + syringes) easy to make, harder at first but no problem later on, he can't make chemicals but he is good at mechanical crafting and has extra recipes like Sally has in chemical crafting, also his story and a sad plot twist at the end. In the first DLC you play as Roger , one of Dr Faraday's assistants continuing the story from their pov after Dr Faraday made the portal and disappeared, short but fun, 2nd DLC you play as Nick Lightbearer the musician playing the detective in the mystery of what happened to him the previous night (this guy runs on coffee, drugs and alcohol so his memory is not the best) his weapon is a guitar and you play it to guide yourself and knock out enemies ,which is a neat concept, you will also meet the famous Foggy Jack that you hear from time to time people talking about. I haven't played the 3rd DLC yet, gonna do that today. One last thing i forgot to mention, ulike Arthur, Sally and Ollie's stories are shorter and you get more skill points to max out their skill tree, you probably don't even need to do side quests with them, or just a few if you really want to max them out but you won't need all the skills, in the DLCs you don't have skill points, you get 1 weapon and you find upgrades for it as you progress. Your decision if you want to continue, but imo the game is pretty good and seeing everyone's story in that world and the continuation of it in the dlcs and how the characters impact each other's story and how everything (most of it) came to be is really satisfying, i haven't encountered any game breaking bugs, most are just graphic with npcs sitting weird on benches, that can be ignored. Imo it's worth continuing, but ultimately it's your choice.

since quite a while has passed with playing JUST arthur (the game wasn't finished yet), i was pleasantly surprised by acts 2 & 3. and the ending was worth it...for me. but everybody is different. so you might not like it. or you might. that's the problem with asking opinions on the net! you didn't say WHAT you didn't like. so opinions will vary with the little information you gave. i don't like killing people...others love a body count. every game depends on what you like. some glitches are annoying, some irrelevant. perhaps you'd like sally & ollie better. then again, you might not. the ONLY way you will know for certain is to play, and not ask. or don't play. your choice.

I did enjoy playing arthur, sally seems a bit stressful, but i'll manage, do u you think ollie is the best out of all of em ? and btw if i did all sidequests with arthur do i get new sidequest with sally and ollie as well ??

arthur: perfect
sally: takes a bit of time to get used to (motherhood IS a pain)
ollie: funny, but violent (i don't like violence, personal preference)
sidequests: some are sorta the same, but different. you can play all sidequests, or not, but all the sidequests help you know what's going on in the world of wellington wells.

Arthur is my favorite just because his story is the longest. Act 2 with Sally is hard at first as she cannot use takedowns and weak in combat, but as you progress you will get a device called the Pituitary Extractor, which enables her to do stealth takedowns on Doctors and Bobbies. Make sure you have the device selected in the quickslot and the quickslot chosen to use it. With that device plus her ability to craft Sunshine, Sally is probably my favorite character to play. If you can save enough money and buy the baby feeder, Sally won't have to go back to feed Gwen everytime.

Ollie is... my least favorite. He cannot run around the village or stay past curfew, and people with red hats will attack him on sight, alerting the whole village. He also has to use glucose syringes for his diabetes. However he has the ability to craft lots of weapons. Jack The Nipper being the strongest non-lethal weapon, which can defeat a Bobby with 3 hits. Ollie's not bad, and his story is better than Sally's, but I prefer to play WHF as a stealth game rather than combat, hence why Ollie is my least favorite.

Arthur was too easy for me. Sally and Olly are progressively harder. The latter two Acts are much shorter (especially if Arthur already did all the shared sidequests), but a better balanced game.

if u ignore the baby u will get a debuff that will start eating through your inventory space until u take care of the crotch goblin.
hated the debuff so much that i decided to break out ye olde dev console.
also was just wondering if there is a cap on how much inventory space u can have?
was planning on combating the guilt debuff with an ocean of inventory expansion kits.

I personally liked chapter 1, but chapter 2 sucks! I hope chapter 3 is better even if it is shorter than the others!

I changed my mind and really enjoyed everything about it, including the DLC.

After being stuck for god knows how long on the first chapter, I had to resort to cheating. This enabled me to progress further .....and its such an enjoyable game.

To be honest I finished Act II and I kinda like it better than the first so I agree
