How do you use the CONSOLE???

Ok so i asked this question before and was given an answer that literally made no sense. To be fair the guy who wrote it was not english. but i would still like to know.

Can't give you the commands as I've not played around with it, but here's how you activate the console:

1. Launch the game with the console enabled (-console in PROPERTIES / GENERAL / SET LAUNCH OPTIONS).
2. open the console with ~

Well, it IS the right command line.
In steam, right click on the game, properties, launch options, and type in "-console".

After that, to display the console, press... well it should probably be "~" but it depends of your keyboard. If it doesn't work, try " ² " ( should be on the far right of the keyboard under the echap key).

Or whatever key's actually there.

Hey guys. It's not ~, it's the tilted apostrophe ` that opens the console. On US Keyboards, that's the same key, but not on non-US keyboards. Hope this helps!

Yes, go to settings, developpers cheats, and activate the console :D

To activate the console you need to follow these steps:
1. Be sure your keyboard language is set to ENG/US (I use ENG on mine) - you need to change it in the options of your computer or simply press the Window icon (near LAlt) + Space and choose the language, if avaiable;
2. right click on the game icon, go to Properties>General>Set Launch Options and write "-console" (without quotes, of course);
3. Launch the game, load a play (facoltative for this purpose), go to the Menu Options>Developer Cheats and enable the console;
4. While in the game or in the main menu, if you press "tilde" (or the key under Esc, if using the ENG keyboard) you should see a black bar on the lower part of the screen. That's the console!
5. If everything works, you can type some cheats like "ghost", "walk", "god" and so on.

Even after I press ` in game, still nothing happens. I also typed in -console in the launch options, and everything. Help?
