Duct tape!?

I am having the hardest time finding duct tape to craft a key item to progress, I have looted everything possible... any ideas where duct tape usually is? Anyone else having these sorts of problems? I am playing the GOG version so I am not sure if its updated to the same version as Steam.

The map seems pretty useless as far as finding things sometimes. NPC's will tell you they have marked the map and there are no markings on said map.

umm in the first area after you leave your base, theres a broken down house close by that had a few rolls of duct tape that you could steal. thats all ive seen so far.

I may have to start over and try again.. I know it's early access so there are issues. Knowing that I will need duct tape now I guess I should not make anything needing it and just horde it because it seems like once you have looted everything thats it... and I can't progress this main area with out more duct tape lol.

Hey Columbine -

You'll often find ducttape sitting on top of dressers in various houses in the waste. If you explore most of the abandoned and ruined houses, you should find enough duct tape to see you through and progress.

I will give this a shot, I swear I have checked every single house in the main area but I will try again lol.

the problem is too rng...i mean as i said multiple times you find sometimes others you dont and find other items...i will go to the point in my 1.6 found only 4 duck tapes...in the same time i found 3 machines part, 4 empty cells, 3 light bulbs...really i got 3 and 4 itmes of items i barely need 1 and the thing i need must (almost all uses duck tapes) cant find twice more?
