Should Taking Down Bobbies Be This Easy?
Every game I've played now I can easily take out a Bobbie with a Headknocker if I lure them away from their friends (obviously more then 1 would be a problem.) But once I get a Bobby Baton from that one Bobbie I don't mind taking on more Bobbies and citizens.

And the Cricket Bats do monster damage too, not to mention a wide area spread. I made a spiked one and I have to say they might be the most OP weapon in the game so far. I was doing the quest to get the car parts and had about 20 people aggroed to me and I freaking commited mass murder with my spiked Cricket Bat, including about 5 bobbies and a hand full of Wellies. I had health on me, a crap ton of it, which I guess helped and the screenshots are on my steam if you want to check them out.

Maybe you shouldn't be allowed to heal while in combat? Due to that I took hits, ran, healed, went back, smaked some more people, rinse and repeat. Maybe Healing Balm should be harder to come by? (I had 5 elite and like 20 regular.)

Either way I can take out Bobbies with 3 hits from a Spiked Cricket Bat, once I get a stronger weapon then a Headknocker, I'm no longer afraid and focoused on being stealthy in this game. If someone sees me I just stand my ground and fight.

I mean it was good for helping me get around stuff quicker and getting suff I needed plus looting, but yeah it does seem a bit OP and as I said once I could kill everyone I wasn't focoused on stealth anymore.

Maybe a suggestion would be to make Bobbies a bit more stronger I wouldn't say un-killiable but make the player feel like, no I don't want to mess with that. I can't mess with that, I'm not able to mess with that. To compensate for this, why not the ablity to take down Bobbies if you single them out and are not seen to get around them? It would be more stealthy then just taking a bat and running into a mob of Bobbies and returning blood soaked and victorious.

Also another thing, maybe if you kill too many people or commit murder in a large crowd, everyone in the area tackles and restrains you, you need about 4 people let's say for this to happen. Once you're caught you get a game over or sent back to the bunker if you don't have permadeath on. Maybe they inject joy into you and you over dose, something to stop your murderous rampage.

Maybe being able to kill everyone like this would be possible on Easy Mode with no consenquences for your sins. For players who just want to do the quests and stories this would make it easier, medium would impliment harder bobbies maybe, and make it less likely you can just muder everyone so you can challange yourself, and maybe on hard is when people will physically restrain you if you murder with too many witnesses to increase the diffictuly?

Just some ideas!

I said something similar to this except it was about bobbies not being able to hit me because you can attack with your fists and clubs really quickly they said they're discussing improving the combat system. Maybe that includes weapon nerfs and buffs

Yeah I'd consider it a form of combat, I also don't see why you can't preform takedowns on Bobbies when you can everyone else - even some quest npcs! It would be kind fun trying to find a Bobby that's alone enough to take him out cause their usually in groups and in sight of eachother, the only ones I could think of beable to take down easily is the ones around the apple tree because they break up and patrol around it.

It would not make sense to be able to choke a Bobby unconsciouss, particularly with the current character we are playing. They are cops, cops are usually heavily trained in close combat. You're playing a Wellie, your average joe blow citizen with no combat training. Considering how they don't have projectile weapons on them at all, it's safe to assume they are well versed in melee. Perhaps if we were playing a physically stronger character, it would be a viable option.

Okay but Arthur can commit mass murder with a spiked cricket bat including the bobbies on the hitlist sooooo XD

but nah i see your point I'm just saying I'm finding it very easy to be op.

I like the idea of the wellies ganging up on you and you die with no way of fighting back. Because in the announcement trailer. When uncle jack says everyone is taking their joy and asks what about you? Everybody starts to slowly crowd around you. Maybe something like that could happen

oh yeah that'd be cool! I also thought the tvs following you was just somethign they animated into the trailer but they actually do that in game! Aside from maybesome some extra animation majority of that trailer seems to acutally be ingame footage in away.

It would be really cool if that happened.

Yeah, the TV's tracking you, with a sinister red glow, when you are creeping around the streets at night are slightly unsettling, but they have no real inherent danger to them. I think they should act as security cameras and call the bobbies when they spot you.

I also think that bobbies should be able to have a chance to disarm you, especially when they tackle you, sending your weapon flying away. I also think that they should know your face, since they chased you away for being a downer. And if you attack one, you will become 'wanted' and they will become hostile on seeing you. I also think that you shouldn't be able to enter into the maintenacne rooms when you are seen, especially when a bobby sees you. If a bobby sees you enter, they will come in and take you out. Or, just lock it from the outside and leave you in there to die to death.

Also electricpotato22 is amazing and so are potatoes in general
I think the TVs do act as security cameras. If the bobbies haven't found you yet they'll see you. If there's a Bobby nearby
And yes that last bit of text in the quote wasn't what yu actually said I was just testing it
