Mod support?
Fairly self explantory but will there be any chance of mod support in the future?

I sincerely hope that the game will include some sort of support for a modding community. Great things happen when developers give their community free reign in open world titles

I would personally very much like to do this. However, building in mod support (and I mean good mod support, Skyrim style) requires a great deal of engineering effort - more than you would think. So, until we can find space in our schedule for it, it's not something we can commit to.

Having said that, modding without our support (as unlikely as that is) is something we would encourage. If you guys have suggestions on ways for us to allow this, I'd be happy to hear them.

why dont you do what hello neighbor did where they uploaded all their game content onto the unreal engine through epic games and allowed modders to upload their mods to websites such as moddb or nexus. Modders could use the games content to create their own story and create their own secrets for other players to download and play through the unreal engine

It is not unlikely. It is pretty easy to unpack every .pak files in the game and edit them. @Manywhelps

You never know. Some dedicated fans could even fix some problems. Regardless, I've had a slough of ideas for mods myself.

my point is the devs arnt taking focus away from fixing the game, they arent modding the game we are, why do you think us modding the game, is taking the devs focus away from fixing the game, you realise im not a dev, modders arnt the devs, we are seperate

hey friendo, they're talking about providing sdk type tools, things that facilitate level design and such, think of fallout garden of eden creation kit, (as the dev said, skyrim) which probably uses boiler plate bethesda gamebryo GECK custom editor memery, dunno, haven't looked at it hard.

Obviously bethesda likes people modding, the community fixes their games for them, lol, but besides that it allows for some great things.
