Talking about sailors, I found them a bit weird, seen that Wellington Wells is supposed to be a place where nobody can get out... or am I wrong?
Yeah, I always wondered why they were sailors....then I met Roger and everything made sense.
And as for leaving: Arthur nobody is stopping you from making a little raft and rowing it to Wales.....then you read the letter that states there's a coast patrol...so leaving is difficult. So very difficult.
And I like to imagine that the rest of the world is now 1984 so Arthur, McAdder and TokenyMcTokenFace all realise that for all it's faults Wellignton Wells is actually a pretty decent place.
If it's not for Joy and Uncle Jack, maybe yes, Wellington Wells may be a very nice place.
They've actually got a future encounter where there's a Wellie in military uniform and holding a Lee-Enfield. So maybe he'll be involved in some way.
I guess it boils down to a choice between a 1984-ified BNW or just straight up 1984.
as far as Roger and James go, yes they are definitely gay. if you go into their bedroom you'll see a painting dedicated with love from one of them to the other.
*Roger and James are a "couple" It says it on the chalkboard at the foot of the stairs. Not to mention the stripper pole the cheeky use of the: carrots, alcohol, and the ticklers located specifically at the bedside trunks. * Bert and Ernie weren't quite as obvious but James and Roger are definately Gay. Wheee!
