Yeah, it was so great when your comrades occupied my country in 1968 for the glory of the communism.
What the heck are you talking about?
the vietnamese would like to have a word with you lol.
I'm talking about occupation of Czechoslovakia.
LOL
YOU are the one who's brainwashed.
With 2/3rds of the world wealthy (used to be 50%) owned by 1% of the population that's a problem with capitalism rather than communism!
But why bother thinking when you can quote someone who surely didn't have an agenda!
So you're trying to tell me that there are no problems in capitalistic states such as US, EU, Canada, Australia, Japan, India etc? Poverty, homelessness, unemployment are completely eridicated in these states? Well, in that case I have a bad news for you - you're absolutely blind and deaf person. But even blind and deaf can consume knowledge - in contrast with you. Because - surprise-surprise! - in socialistic states aforementioned issues can be (and were!) successfully resolved.
If you're looking for those who responsible for occupation of Czechoslovakia, you should be interested in activities of such persons as Alexander Dubček and Ludvík Svoboda. They got a country with economical problems, but instead of socialistic reforms they decided to pass neoliberal capitalistic course. Obviously, you can't call yourself "socialistic state" and simultaneously pass changes that discriminate labour force. Dubček and Svoboda didn't want to discuss their decisions with Soviet Union peacefully, that's why tanks were put in motion. The rest is history. And believe me - you don't want me to start making list of invasions in private matters of states made by US and their satellites.
I always wonder how quickly people forget certain things in favour of dominating agenda? For example, fact that 150000 of soviet soldiers were killed during liberation of Czechoslovakia in WWII. And after that Soviet Union provided your country with food and goods that were sparse even for Soviets themselves because their own economy was devastated by war. The Soviet contribution in process of industrialisation and renovation of Czechoslovakia after the war. All this and other things suddenly don't matter because of "occupation"! The hypocrisy in its truest form.
Yeah, there were economical problems thanks to your brilliant idea of five-years plans. You can't discuss with Soviet Union peacefully, when they sent the whole army to your country because they were afraid.
I'm not some american patriot. I really "love" these kind of arguments - "Oh, he criticizes commies, he's a filthy capitalist!" and vice versa.
Most people who lives in the part which were liberated by the soviet army haven't forgotten this and we have many memorial sites of your dead soldiers. But that does not have to do anything with your wicked ideology which many people hate. But again, that's another proof of your non existent argumentation, when you just WRITING things which I or others never said - no one is disgraceful to the dead soldiers or praising the US just because they hate your ideology.
Yeah, your great "food and goods", we could do a European Recovery Program, but we couldn't thanks to your communist leaders. You destroyed OUR economy with your stupid plans, nationalization of the private property. Czechoslovakia was in the top 10 countries in the industry and economy before the WW2. Nazis damaged it badly and Communists destroyed the rest. Occupation was a cherry on the cake.
Your rule destroyed many lives and dreams of ordinary people in my country, you would have know if you lived here or wasn't blinded with your "west vs east" mindset.
