Crazy Leg Bug Help

I'm on day 15 and I've been trying to complete the crazy leg quest. However, the quest keeps saying come back during the day and all I see is Eric standing in place.

Have you gotten close to him? He starts running when you get close. Maybe push him, if you're able to get close to him without him moving, and see if that triggers anything. I wasn't prepared for how fast he seemed after the game's release, but I did manage to shove him a while ago. So I know it is currently passable for some people.

But yea, it will keep saying that every time another day goes by without the quest being completed. I imagine because everyone goes home at night to sleep. I believe daytime starts at 7am ingame. I haven't been paying close enough attention to when night time officially starts ingame.

I've walked up and punched him and he still doesnt move. I even reloaded the game to see if that would fix. I've went there from 8am to 8pm to see.

The quest looks bugged there.
You can continue with other quests in the meanwhile and get back there after several in-game days; it's not said it might fix the bug.
There is also a cheat to make the quest be completed via console, which needs to be activate first, otherwise there's no way to complete it.

I figured out how to get around the being stuck on come back during the day bug. If you just go up and shove him, as in hit the command for shove no just bumping into him, you instantly get the cut scene for him recognizing you.

He was stuck at the start line for me and wouldn't talk or move. I tried everything from bangers to caltrops to get him to move, but what ended up working for me was the simplest thing in the world. I just pushed him and it did some dialogue then finished the quest.
