If so I went through the anguish as you and had to be out of punching range of the screen.
If it is that quest, MAKE SURE you have one of the devices to fry keycard locks (I forget the name for them, but they AREN'T shortspikes, though a single shortspike is also a must have), once you get into the lightbearer's house make sure you go straight downstairs to the quest marker and don't fry the upstairs keypad, unless you have two keypad cookers.
Trust me, I looked around upstairs then realized I was locked out of the quest downstairs and had to do the whole platforming segment again. I was furious.
PS:
Muting the sound so you aren't bothered by the music/jack makes things so much easier and less rage inducing.
PPS: The quest does have some nice rewards that help you blend in better with wellies, so it isn't all in vain. For the platforms you have to crouch under then.stand up over and jump I found standing up, then backing up against the "tunnel" through the scaffold made things somewhat easier.
I think you may still be able to enable the developer console and use a noclip/fly cheat which will cut the platforming segments out, though I.Just spent two hours of insanity trying to time everything perfectly.
I was doing the same thing as you, crouch under then walk out and stand up then backup to it, then run and jump, carefully, lol, so annoying. I got all the way once and missed the last jump. Cursed a blue steak, since I'd fallen already so many times, lol. I'd jump perfectly straight and sometimes land right on the railing for crying out loud!
I have a bunch of short spikes and other devices but I'm not sure I have the thing that fries keypads. If you mean the Polarity thing, I don't have one yet.
Thanks though, I might wait till I get one. I'm just so tired of running back and forth, up and around, through the window and up the stairs again to the scaffolding, lol.
I hate it also when climbing is limited in a game too, I mean, it looks so easy to just climb up there. I feel like, if I can do something in rl I should be able to do it in a game, lol. I know they try to make things tougher but this is just so frustrating : /
I decided to noclip in, I couldn't tell if the scalfolding was intentionally obtuse, a ruse, something I was missing or proceduraly generated horrendously.
You literally cannot catch the edge of the platform because of the metal bar. It's the dumbest ♥♥♥♥ I've ever seen. God bles
