Pc give bobby scotch

I can’t figure out how to give scotch to a bobby!! An option isn’t coming up and pressing F makes me drink it

It’s the same key as when you take down a enemy from behind.

Even if you have scotch in your inventory and focus on a bobby, the prompt to "Give scotch" some times does not show up. It's hard to tell if this is a bug or intentional.

Is it a red or a blue bobby? The description only mentions the blue bobbies. Also, I think you can't bribe quest- specific bobbies, like the one leaning over the downer in the street or the ones guarding the bridges.

Sometimes the spot on them you have to "aim" is specific for me, like the center of the chest... and distance away is definitely a factor. If I'm too close the option disappears. Really annoying the things like that in the game.

I bribed a quest-specific bobby. Now I can't talk to him and fix the damn machine he's guarding. I'm amazed how many bugs are in this game :)

If you're trying to get through the jammed door (after the quiz) in "Onto the Village" - you don't need to bribe the bobby. That part is misleading because of the jammed door. Just re-enter the elevator and push the button. That's why the option doesn't come up.
