Can't join Steam friend's game

just this, both inviting or being invited does nothing and can't have a co-op game so far, no window showing up for us to enter password, nothing.

I think you can enter a co-op game by the main menu.

Play -> Start Game to create a multiplayer game.
Play -> Join Game to join a game of another player.

tried, and in the server list no target server shown, only few other strangers' servers

Oh, also: until the one hosting the game is in the customizator, other people won't be able to see / join the game.

Thanks, I think they couldn't get the co-op session work and went offline, I'll play it on my own so all good now, personally I'm okay with network issue during a demo test session.

Have you tried changing your steam download region? I changed mine to match my friends and suddenly i could see and join his game.

Go to Steam settings -> Downloads -> Download Region at the very top and make sure they match.
