RailGods of Hysterra is a Lovecraftian survival action game where you must survive in a world ravaged by the Great Old Ones. You play as a Dreamer, awakened and bound to a sentient RailGod your living, mobile fortress and weapon. Explore the twisted landscapes, battle horrific monsters, and command your RailGod to fight against eldritch cosmic horrors.

How does the RailGod work?

The RailGod is a sentient locomotive, created through forbidden rituals. It's not just a means of transportation, but a terrifying force of destruction. You must feed it with sacrifices to keep it moving and evolving. Strategically add and upgrade new customizable Carriages to create a powerful mobile fortress.

Is RailGods of Hysterra a multiplayer game?

Yes! You can play solo or in online co-op with up to five players. Together, you’ll gather resources, craft tools, share knowledge and face off against monstrous threats. Teamwork is key to survival, especially when challenging the Great Old Ones.

What’s the gameplay like?

RailGods of Hysterra combines survival, exploration, and combat.

What is the Carriage-building system?

Players can customize and upgrade their RailGod’s Carriages.

◾️Build and upgrade your train to suit your playstyle, turning it into a stronghold capable of withstanding the horrors of Hysterra.

What is the story behind the game?

The world of RailGods of Hysterra has been devastated by the arrival of the Great Old Ones. As a mysterious Call, awakes you from the Dreamlands, you are bound to your RailGod, and together, you must navigate a world twisted by madness. The game draws heavily from H.P. Lovecraft’s narrative universe, with cultists, nightmarish creatures, and a reality distorted by cosmic beings.

Can I customize my character?

Yes! You can personalize your character and your RailGod.

What are Dark Gifts and how do they work?

How does combat work?
