Xbox One Controller Windows 10 Fix

Took me a while to find this so thought I'd share as I've been able to finally enjoy Absolute Drift!

Follw These Steps:

Open Device Manager
Right Click "Xbox One Controller"
Select Update Driver Software
Browse on my PC
Let me pick from a list
"Microsoft Xbox One Controller"


The "Xbox One Controller" driver doesn't work, but the "Microsoft Xbox One Controller" does.

This fixed it for me instantly!

Same here, and neither of the two driver options--Xbox Controller or Xbox Gaming Device--work. The joystick is still stuck left/right in the game.

I had to download the xbox one drivers from this website, even though it says I shouldnt need them on Windows 10. After installing them, I was able to select the "microsoft xbox one controller" driver from the list.

You are a god among men! Thanks! This is exactly what I needed. Xbox One controller now working perfectly for the game. I just needed to install the driver found at the link - nothing more

Tried installing the drivers, still only have "Xbox one controller" in the list. Tried rebooting also.

I get code 10 for everything i do.... *sigh* im not computer smart Lmfao. any suggestions. (ps. when i download the controller driver do i add them to Device Manager manually by adding a legacy hardware or should it work either way

When you change the driver, does it still work with the xbox app or other games? In my case it breaks it so i have to change the driver back and forth and reboot every time. I have made a separate post about this issue trying to get the developer to look into getting the standard driver to work with the game :-) (The standard driver works fine with every other game).

My has the title : "Xbox one Controller issue, the fix breaks my controller for other stuff"

In device manager I don't see anything that says Xbox one controller, however I see "Xbox Peripherals" when I open it all that is in there is "Xbox Controller" when I do you're steps I only see "Xbox Controller" not Xbox one controller and when I launch the game the car still is stuck with the steering on left and full throttle; its only with Absolute drift not having this issue with any other game, Help pewwz :3
