- Collecting "Red Tires" - 100 Points each
- Doughnut around the circlular objects until they fill and eventually give you around - 10,000
- Spin in Red Squares - I think 3,000 if i'm not mistaken
- Drift near Poles
- Drift in general [The more you keep drifting, the more the multiplier goes up.]
Basically if your multiplier starts shaking, that means it'll go straight into your score, unless you continue to drift or do the above.
If you crash, your multiplier ends and goes straight into the score. :)
As I said, most of the times the score counter does not go up, or if it does I only get like 20 or 40 points. And seemingly doing the same I suddenly get several thousand before I hit the wall or whatever...
Usually if they only create 2 lines, it won't always counts.
1) Multiplier - extended drifting builds your multiplier; if too much time passes without drifting (or if you hit a wall) then it resets to x1.
2) Points - basic drifting gives you a very small score; what you need to do is drift as close as possible to the red barber poles. If you manage to drift right round the apex of a corner with the nose of the car pointed in towards the pole, you'll score massive points. The points vary depending on how close you are to the pole, angle of attack, and speed (I believe).
You need to score big and maintain your multiplier to get decent scores. It ain't easy, but it is lovely when you get a nice flow and can virtually drift round the entire course.
For example, in the Kobe track, besides the occasional 20-40 points, I've after 10+ attempts only been able to score by getting the points for drifting close to the poles, usually 500-700 points each time, sometimes a bit more. At least in the oval track, I get some regular drifting points now and then...
"There is some inconsistent performance with monitors that have a refresh rate of 120hz+
I am working on a fix." <-- seems performance == lack of scoring...
I started recording and it forced my framerate down from 144 FPS to < 90 FPS, and suddenly I was scoring points left right and center...
