HL2 and HL2DM used to be separate titles. I bought them in the past.
However, HL2DM is no longer available to buy separately on Steam.

delisting hl2 dm is strange. i really hoped they will give it the same treatment as hl1 dm to its 25th anniversary.
but its pretty broken right now

Game is delisted in the store (You can get it by buying HL2 or gettinig HL2 for free during the promo), it should then become visible in your steam library.

I can't get into my regular servers...Outlaws and Gophor...says the games are too old for my system...I have been playing on these servers for years, what gives. Tried rebooting a few times still the same results?

Servers need to be updated to the latest update, you could technically play on them if you switch to the steam_legacy beta but that has almost no players left. For the time being explore some servers that updated.

hopefully this is not the last we hear of HL2:DM's 20th anniversary update, would be a sad state of affairs having an update that broke stuff, then the game getting unlisted, and then radio silence

This is actually a good deep thought. I wonder if the game and the updates will remain silent for another 10 years, if not longer.
