Bots plugin for Half-Life 2: Deathmatch
Hi all,

Botrix (BOT's matRIX) is a plugin for HL2DM & TF2, to play with bots. Download[www.famaf.unc.edu.ar].

Update: Valve's 20th anniversary update issues are now fixed (only Windows for now), thanks to armaturo.

Awesome features (check out changelog on my site for more info):
- auto generate waypoints for new maps! (check out 'botrix waypoint analyze toggle' command)
- bots now can open doors and use elevators !!!
- different models for bots (not only combine_soldier!)
- console commands auto-completion
- bunch of new console commands (player protection health / spawn-time, bot's default weapons, map analysis, etc)
- fixed several crashes and bugs

Fast install:
- Unzip contents of zip file into MOD folder, i.e.
<SteamDir>/SteamApps/common/Half-Life 2 Deathmatch/hl2mp
- Launch Half-Life 2 Deathmatch with -insecure parameter (In your steam games right click on Half-Life 2 Deathmatch -> Goto properties, click on Set Launch Options and type in -insecure -console; press Ok, start up the game and create a server). Insecure is not required for dedicated servers. Create new game, map dm_underpass.
- Type "botrix bot add" several times at the console to create bots.

You need to set the beta of the game to "steam_legacy", which can be found by right clicking on the game, then clicking properties and betas.

it doesn't crash anymore, thank you! Btw, do you know about crash when you flying away from map and it crashes?

Hmm, it doesn't happen to me. Which map are you using? Windows 7/10 or which one?

handicap is already implemented, use "botrix bot config intelligence", you can set it to one of: random fool stupied normal smart pro. Bot's intelligence affects not only aim time, but also bot's weapon preference.

Will implement spawn weapon / freeze if no players, it's not hard.

Let me know if I understand spawn protection right: does it mean that bots shouldn't attack the player / bot if his spawn time is low and the health is low?
For example if spawnprotectionseconds = 5 and spawnprotectedhealth = 10, then bots shouldn't attack player if spawn time is less or equal to 5 seconds and he's health is lower or equal to 10? Or those are independent values?

I think the hurricane bots are set to 500..If you have a health of 500,then the bots wont shoot at ya at all,,but if under 500 they will kill ya or try,,I also have a spawn and kill protection,,and had to mess with that one to set for 500 also or the bots would try to kill ya even tho you are in spawn prot... Looks kind of strange watching them come up to ya and try to kill ya..., Most or some have there spawn and kill prot are set at 300 or less and hurricane bots are set at 500. If you die and respawn,,it spawns ya at 500 health,,but if u move it turns back to 100 or what ever u have your server players start at, and if you go to wall and stand face to it,,it will put u in prot and your health turns to 500,,when u move it turns back to normal. -/////-Now without the spawnpro you can do this or somthing like this-

Cant remember it all,but i think thats kind of it,,i use the spawn and kill prot to make sure they wont even try to kill ya while in spawn, its a sourcemod plugin https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?p=901294

Hmm, it doesn't happen to me. Which map are you using? Windows 7/10 or which one?
Windows 10
We have over 200 custom maps on our server so auto waypoints would mean a change to your bots as I don't have time to set new waypoints for every map. If you can't then it's cool we can carry on as is just now.

If I remember right it was bots spawn with extra health like total 500hp for a limited amount of time for example 2 seconds but still can attack the player.

Thats y i use the spawn and kill protection,,the one i am using u spawn at 500,,when u move it turns back to normal.
