How to create a Co-Op (coop) server for coop maps
I played Synergy lot of time but I see that more people play on very funny HL2 DM servers. And I saw that few servers hosts synergy coop maps fully working (like bouncyball or hl2mp.ru). What mods do they use?

1. Learning C/C++ and making own server, for example fixing crashes with NPCs or crash with zombie pushing your prop held by gravity gun.
2. Bouncyball or hl2mp.ru are sh1t servers, that use SourceMod or MetaMod, and having tons of useless plugins or broken/useless features, causing lags on client or server.
3. Forget about Synergy becoz it's broken and last update was in 2015...

Nonsense, both codebases are more stable than vanilla hl2dm. Without it a co-op server crashes on the most basic things these days. Neither are the performance or client lag issues related to the plugins.

Hl2dm is not meant to be used as a co-op game especially not with the amount of NPC's that can be seen. Plugins hook into stutf and only a small percentage of them are active constantly because they enable crucial features such as the jetpacks or custom guns. There are a lot of myths that the plugin amount effect performance but it is simply not the case for us under normal circumstances. I can run the server without the plugins and it will then have similar CPU usage.

The lag you might have observed is because many co-op maps are not optimized and render the entire map every frame. That can really tank performance. But on servers like bouncy, socal and VG the client is typically more stable because we spent time finding workarounds for bugs.

Nonsense is SourceMod with MetaMod, they're eating CPU a lot, and it causes lags on server-side, but still, SourceMod is unstable, like why the ♥♥♥♥ some functions are working in 0.1 seconds? That's why, and since when I play HL2DM I haven't ever seen normal coop server, most of them couldn't even fix NPCs bleed effect, because of prediction, or even any normal prediction fix for DispatchEffect, or grenade sprite/trail attachment fix on server. Even not taking that fact, that how much game wasn't developed for coop maps, and how much coop admins want to fix sh!t on their servers. And SourceMod sucks at this point, when you start fixing crashes/bugs. Talking about VG and other kind of this servers, I still can't see that someone could fix grenade sprite/trail attachment, or even weapon_357[257]: Playing sequence 3 but there's only 2 in total? spamming sh!t out of your game, or auto-reload for AR2/SMG1, I can list bugs everyday here, but why no one fix them? Even if taking fact that Valve doesn't give a ♥♥♥♥ about this game, and making update in 2/3 years that breaking something. M A S S A C R E for example fixed these problems that I listed, yea, they still have some issues on server, but most of changes are in C++. Okay, I just got away of topic, what about coop servers? They have 1000+ plugins on servers, and glad I don't play there, because you can't have fun there because, you will suffer of lags, and tons of useless/broken features in game, and these rеtаrdеd admins think that they're the best in HL2DM, because they have lots of plugins, but still they can't fix simple bugs. What about BouncyBall? I can say Henky made lots of cool ideas, but implemented them in game badly, for example 3D Weapon Selector, what the ♥♥♥♥ is this? This looks unfinished because it doesn't change angle when you rotate your camera, and high network traffic on server, because of plugins. But still if you think that SourceMod or MetaMod plugins make the game stable, at this point you're wrong, I can list problems here:
1. High usage of CPU.
2. Slow VM, and bad code.
3. Lots of plugins can increment network traffic.
4. Function delay for 0.1 seconds.
And other problems, but too lazy to list them here. That's reason to moving from crappy SourceMod and MetaMod plugins to C/C++ and compiling own server.dll.

Yeah ok I‘m C programmer but I have really no time for that. So I try the other recommended solution. Thanks four your answers.
What the hell has this guy got, dammit.
Everyone has their own good server of people.
The people who play on the servers enjoy the game, that's the most important thing.
